Digital Dozen, Childhood, Popple Nails

Welcome back for day 3 of Childhood Week for the Digital Dozen and this one is doubled up with the 52 Week Challenge for 3 Pastels and Negative Space. I know this isn't traditional negative space, but it does have the feel with the contrast of the sheer-ish finish of Ruby White Tips Little Ass Kicker and the high contrast shapes I added. This is three thin coats of my polish, and the art is all acrylic paints. Now, my Popple friend here is the toy I remember most as a Chistmas gift. This gift was a gift from my grandparents. I loved the Popple toys, and have heard they are making a comeback.

If you never saw one of these they were similar to a bear, but had a pocket you could transform them into a ball like shape. Super cute.

Digital Dozen, Childhood, My Pet Monster

Welcome back to day two of Childhood week aka Indies and Eighties! This glitter topper is Polish My Life Times Square Lights over a base of Rimmel Sunny Days. I was going for a kind of glitter as garbage thing here, because if anyone remembers this guy here from My Pet Monster, "he loved to munch on garbage...he'd even eat the can. If this sounds gross please understand..." He was my favourite after school special! I created the fish bones and My Pet Monster with acrylic paints. Don't you just love this glitter topper. It was so perfect for this, I'm glad I chose it. 

I topped the whole thing with Seche, which I'm now out of. I decided to try Out the Door next which is fine for art like this, but for stamping it's so streaking! Now I need some Seche ASAP. Clearly on Top from KBShimmer and Seche are the only topcoats I've found so far good for everything. What do you guys like?

Digital Dozen, Childhood, Care Bear Nails

So welcome to Digital Dozen Chilhood week or what I'm calling Indies and the eighties! I was a kid of the eighties, so Childhood was totally a great flashback to all the great toys, movies and tv shows of the eighties. I've decided on kind of a theme for the week. All my designs are on a great indie polish with art accents. Let's dive in to a swatch of KBShimmer Lottie Dottie. This is two coats plus topcoat.

This polish is one of my long time faves, and I decided to do one of my favourite tv/toy characters. This is Bedtime Bear from the Care Bears. I loved and had a few Care Bears. But this guy, he's my sons 'Tare' Bear. He also matched this polish just perfectly.

I created my bear accent and star buddies with acrylic paints and sealed with topcoat. In loved loved the star buddies, so I couldn't leave them out. Don't forget to check out my girls designs. I have lots more fun looks like this coming this weeks, so stay tuned.

Digital Dozen, Pattern on Pattern Week Fail, Monster Lime Nails

So what the H E double hockey sticks is this you ask? Well, it's a reject from Pattern on Pattern week from a couple months back. I've been saving it for a good laugh. Now first thing, the base dotticure on Frolic In The Sea is well.. I loved it! Then I went and ruined it by adding my possessed lime eye monsters! These were at first supposed to be limes on on my cute base, but they looked like horrible slimer blobs. Then I added the pupils thinking monster eyes and got slime limes...demonic fruit? I don't know.

Have a laugh and come back soon...for something much better...I promise!

A2Z, V is for Valuable

Ok, so I wasn't sure where I wanted to go with this one. First thought was gold, but I couldn't think of a design but then I remembered we are coming into warmer weather...aka...neon season! Neon's are my fave to wear in summer and spring so I just had to do a full neon mani for A2Z V is for Valuable.
Check out the A2Z hub page for more looks linked here. I started with a coat of white and then moved on to use a six pack of Color Club Neons I received at Christmas.The bluish one is the one I used recently in the April Showers look.

Dotting is simple. I just took my time with two sizes of dotting tools and then at the end used a gentle hand to add the smallest filler blue dots.

#naillinkup April Showers

Ok, so today I have a little look for you inspired by spring and those April showers most of us are now experiencing. When #naillinkup suggested April Showers it gave me an excuse to use another untried plate image. The base for this is from a fantastic set I got at Christmas from Winners. A Color Club Neons set...with no names unfortunately just numbers on the bottom. This is Color Club 36, unless anyone can tell me a real name. Formula on this was thin but great. I'm wondering if they would marble well. Anyway, I used the cute cloud image from Bundle Monster Plate 312 and stamped all the images, then used the decal technique and Above The Curve Don't Blink for the holo storm clouds.

Now ladies, I want you all to close your eyes and imagine what an actual holo storm would be like!

Picture Polish, Imperial

Today I have a new polish I picked up...and my first ever Picture Polish! Imperial! I've used a friends a few times, but this is my first ever Picture Polish in my stash. As always, not disappointed! Formula was perfect. This is two easy coats. Isn't this just beautiful? The Swatchaholic did an amazing job.

This last shot is a stamp I wanted to try out. The quilted looking image looked really nice, but then I smeared it with my topcoat...(ran out of Seche) so I'm just parking this here. In person, still really cool.
