Digital Dozen Getting to Know Me, Easter Nail Look...But Totally Unplanned!

Ok, so I'm a big lover of happy surprises, and this one snuck up on me! I was going for girlie, because that's another thing for the Getting To Know Me file...I'm very girlie. I was looking to come up with a totally girly look, so I grabbed this doily image from BMXL-01 and a huge handful of polish!

I created an awesome girlie distressed base on Orly Lollipop and then stamped and matted the whole thing. Once I was finished, the whole thing ended up so Easter-ish it hit on an unplanned thing about me...my love of holidays! I wasn't going for Easter, but it worked out well with this week falling on Easter!

I loved it! Funny thing about Getting To Know Me week is that so far, I've ended up with all looks I'd wear to dust!

St. Patrick's Day Nail Art

Today I felt like a combination of neon and St. Patrick's day! For my base I used China Glaze mmm, Lll by lll and lll by lll.  I then used images from Bundle Monster BM-lll for all my St. Patrick's images. (I'm out right now doing an activity with the kids, but will fill in the blanks shortly!)

If possible, this one was even brighter in person. If you head out tonight for the festivities, please enjoy responsibly!

Valentine's Nail Art

I almost forgot to get this post up with it being DD week. I created this fun valentines double stamp using an unnamed wine from Essie for the chevron on an unnamed hot pink from Color Club. My heart images are Sally Hansen Black Out. Once matte, this was so cute and I wore it to dust!

Weather you have a sweetheart or not, Have a great Valentines!

DIgital Dozen Does December, Friday

I was recently sent plate BPX-L007 for review linked here from Born Pretty Store. The plate is a Halloween plate, but I wanted to use the bones image to create a puppies first Christmas look dedicated to our new puppy! We got a precious little bulldog named London in august, so this will be his first Christmas. He even has his own Instagram page at Bullylolo linked here if you're interested.  I used Sally Hansen Choco Latte as my base and then stamped the bones. I then created the additional images with acrylic paint and mattified. As you can see my matte polish decided to dry with white crusty bits, but I loved this cute look otherwise. The plate was perfectly etched and has some great Halloween and skull images.

Don't forget to check out what the girls cooked up for today below. The born pretty store is linked here for these and any other nail art supplies. If you check it out, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!

#clairestelle8halloween, Black Cats. Halloween Nails

This look I created a while back for #clairestelle8halloween but couldn't post due to some other business. I loved this one though. My base is OPI Eurso Euro, I then added my chevron stamping and my details in acrylic paint.

My kitty definitely turned out creepy, and maybe a little fat! I also really like my floral nails.

Oct 18 Clairestelle8 Halloween Bats Nail Art

So I had a massively low break on my swatch hand and decided to give it a bit of time to grow out. I have a few more looks I've pre-done for #clairestrlle8halloween, but I created this bat prompt look on a tip. I've never actually done art on a tip before, it was fun! I created a gradient using orange acrylic paint over OPI Schnapps Out Of It. I then mixed a nice coordinating brown shade for the background trees. Once dry I uadded the front black tree trunks to give a depth to my background. Once I was happy I added my bat in acrylic paint on top.

I matted it out and totally loved this finished piece.

Pumpkins for #clairestelle8halloween. My Indie Polish, The GreatPumpkin.

These were my Pumpkin nails for #clairestelle8halloween on a great polish I had to pick up recently from My Indie Polish. My leaves and pumpkin design were all acrylic paint.

On to the polish, this is two coats of the best thermal ever! This creamy off white/orange shimmer is amazing. Totally great formula and packed with shimmer. I couldn't get over th colour combo when I saw it go on pre-order and had to have it.

I wasn't disappointed and love this polish.

Digital Dozen Does Vampy, Friday

Ok, so I wanted to do one more Halloween design and keep it freehand too, and I saw this really adorable kitty look on hdinails on Instagram linked here. I decided to recreate her grey kitties on teal in a Halloween colour scheme. This base polish is a special Halloween release from Wet and Wild a few years back called Black Magic. The kitties and yarn ball are all acrylic paint. I hope you like my last Vampy look for Digital Dozen Does Vampy week.

Once again I want to welcome all the new girls to the Digital Dozen. I hope you guys love it as we all do, and we're happy to have you. Digital Dozen Does Vampy, Wednesday

Today's look for Vampy is a weird one I did off the cuff. I wanted to do the cute little bows on the OPI My Private Jet, but I'm not sure what happened with the rest of it. I stamped the fishnet on and added the acrylic dotting. For the bows, I stamped them from the plate BP-X03 and then filled in with acrylic paints and added the dots.

Cute but strange, moving on to tomorrow's look...I love it!

Digital Dozen Does Vampy, Tuesday

So today I've decided that Halloween is definitely Vampy as long as I keep my colour palette 'sexy and edgy' (aka dark) I'll fit right in.

I started with a base of OPI Here Today...Aragon Tomorrow, and this green is definitely a Vampy colour that I love whenever I use it. It looks just like Velvet when matte. I used acrylic paint to add my dotting and pumpkins.

I loved this look much more than yesterday's, and I think I'm getting the swing of this. Again, don't forget to check out all the girls below in our Digital Dozen Inlinkz. Especially all the new friends!

Spiders

This look was inspired by the Spiders prompt for #clairestelle8 Halloween Challenge. I'm a few days behind, but we've had two flu-ish kids here all week. I created the background with a base of Indie Polish Zip with orange acrylic paint wavy lines on top and watered down some black paint and added that on top. I stamped my webs and spiders from BM-H07 and sealed.

All done! A total mess to clean, but cute!

Graveyard Bestie Twins

This look was inspired by the Graveyard prompt for #clairestelle8 Halloween Challenge. I did these as Bestie Twinsie's with my good friend Elena from over at Nail Experiments linked here, and here.
For my base I used Picture Polish Imperial and the rest was created in acrylic paints. The image is all freehand, but I did start my Haunted House with a stamp image from Bundle Monster BM-305 and then added details to it in black and orange

This look was a lot of fun to create, and I always love holiday nails!

31 Day. Day 29, Inspired by the Supernatural

Inspired by the Supernatural today for #31dc2016. It's kinda a tradition for me to use these Zombie hands from Bundle Monster BM-H08 each year around Halloween. I used a base of Grey To Be Here from Essence and dabbled the tips withe grey acrylic paint. Once my Zombie hands were down, I added the skull, cat and the ghost using BM-H07, BM-H08 and BM-223.

I like this monotone look and how it came together once matte.

31 Day. Day 27, Inspired by Artwork

I decided to go with my favourite type of art fort the Artwork prompt for #31dc2016. I wasn't going to do nail art, but became inspired by Starrynail and Glitterfingersss on Instagram when both posted gorgeous fall manis at the same time a couple days ago. For mine I stamped the falling leaves words from BM-S207 and then began my doodles, acorns and leaves in acrylic paint. My base is China Glaze mind the gap.

I like my fun abstract fall look. The idea for the doodles actually came from a craft on Pinterest where you doodle designs in white paint on a wreath made of leaves.

Digital Dozen Does Spring Day 1, St. Patricks Day Nail Art

Today I'm double purposing my St. Patrick's manicure as Day 1 of Digital Dozen Does Spring. The first things I think of when I think of Spring are celebrating Easter, St. Patrick's Day and bulb flowers sprouting and signaling that nature feels it's spring as well as the calendar. For this look I did a base of Color Club Twiggie and then stamped the knot image from Bundle Monsters Holiday collection on plate BM-H05 on top of the image in white from BM-606.

I love the final look and am wearing these today.

Cheers all, and drink those green beers and shakes responsibly!

Valentines! Be Mine Ladies!

So I want you all to be my Valentine! See it says so right there!!
These ones here were loosely inspired by all the fantastic neon creations over at Clairestelle8 on Instagram linked here. I've been craving some neons in this mid-winter freeze, so Valentines was the perfect opportunity!

For this I used three unnamed Color Club neons and White On to create the distressed background. I stamped various Valentines and lovey dovey images from Bundle Monster and added a splash of You Rock My Heart from KBShimmer to my thumbs and pointer fingers.

This last image is my fave from my right hand. I really love this look today. It's a fun and bright wear for the holiday. Hope you all have a great day, weather it's with a loved one or a great chick flick and some chocolates.

Cheers all,
