Digital Dozen Does Rain Forest, Tiger Nail Art

Today's look is another fun twinsie look inspired by some stamping by @cedriscnails on Instaram with fellow Digital Dozen girl extraordinaire Sarah from +25 Sweetpeas. I created this fun rain forest setting with stamping leaves from BPL-026 and the tiger peaking out from BM-613. Sarah then recreated hers freehand. It was really cool to see it both ways! I'd like tot do it again sometime, with me the one challenged to freehand! My base polish for this was two coats of Gorgeous from Sinful Colors.

Doesn't he look hungry? Don't forget to follow some links below and see what's up for day four!

Pop Art Nail Art!

So this is a look from a while back. This is a Pop Art Style look I came up with for a Crumpets post that's come and gone. As you guys might have noticed, I've slowed down on posting as of late to focus on a few other things in my non-blogger life. Nothing serious, just job searching and working on my photography. For those of you that don't know I am a big fan of photography and have a second IG linked here. I feel like the slow down was good for me and got my creative juices flowing for the holiday season.

Anyway, this look started with a base of Sinful Colors Hazard topped with Deborah Lippman Dream a Little Dream of Me I then dotted in a full mani's worth of beige acrylic dots and stamped in Espresso from Revlon.

I feel like this quirky look is so me right now with the high contrast colours and mix and match patterns. I wore this forever!

OMD3 Day 4, Moyou Vintage Mandala

Today's look I'm calling Vintage Mandala. I'm in love with all art Mandala lately on IG, and recently got a  whole Mendala plate from Moyou And the Doodles collection. This image is from plate number 01, and the base on this is Sinful Colors Hazard and stamped with Espresso from Revlon, which stamps amazing. I then added some black distressed areas and dotting. I also added some gold foil. Once done I matted the look. I was going for something you might find carved into a cave wall or a treasure tomb, something rich and ancient looking. The prompt for today is Black and Gold in case you were wondering. I almost forgot to mention that!

Hope you like what I was going for, it's definitely different from my girlie style!

Cheers all,

Digital Dozen Fandom Week, Day 1 Native Nail Art

So guys, I had trouble choosing Fandom looks for this week. I don't really get 'into' stuff like wild, and most of the stuff I have already created looks for. I started to think about what I am crazy about that isn't a typical Fandom idea. The first one thought of was Aboriginal/Native Art. I love the style and esthetic of Aboriginal/Native Art. I grew up camping at a Reserve in Ontario when I was young and I still remember always stopping at an amazing shop full of paintings, carvings and Aboriginal/Native dolls and toys. Everything was made  of gorgeous woods and skins, beads and furs. I have more vivid memories of the shop and smelt fishing then the actual camping.

Anyway, I did some Instagram research and found some artists who work in the style that tugs on my memories. I created this look based on a many different canvas and pottery works on IG. I used Hazard from Sinful Colors as my base and my fish and birds, dotting are all acrylic paint. I then matted.

This one took awhile as you can imagine, so I used Polish M, Drop it Like its Dots on my thumb. Do yourself a favour if you like this, and Google search Native Art. It's so different and really amazing.

Cheers all,
