Born Pretty Review, Tri Colour Gel Polish

Today's look is an amazing Gel Polish I was sent for review.

This was my first ever try of a Thermal Gel. I now can't wait to try out the other two colours from this line that I was sent. The colour change on these is so extreme and lovely. The formula is a little thick, but still totally manageable. I would totally recommend this to you guys. It's just lovely.

All in all, the Gel Polish from Born Pretty Store linked here performed perfectly, and is a beauty to wear. If you'd like to try out the polish, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!

Born Pretty Stamping Product Review

Born Pretty Store linked here recently sent me some Stamping items for review. As I've never tried their stamping polish before, I thought I'd create two looks on two polish backgrounds so we can check it out.

I was sent #37 polish in a cool shimmery green and for the first look I used dream catcher inspired Plate BP-L100. I stamped in black and the green on baby pink. The Born Pretty stamping polish stamped beautifully, although in the photos appears more silver than green. It was crisp and picked up very well.

I then created this second look on blue with images from both plates BP-L100 and BP-192 that I was sent. The rest of plate BP-192 is super cute Reindeer images that I'll be using next Christmas. For this tribal, new 'age-y' look I only used the stag.

The stag was too wide at the antlers for my finger, but easily shrunk by squishing the stamper head during application. I loved the gems from BP-L100 and want to do another look of filling them in with gem tone glitter polishes!

All in all, the three stamping products from Born Pretty Store linked here performed perfectly.
If you'd like to try out the polish, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!

Vitry Nail Care Review

After being sent a bottle of Vitry Nail Care by Nail Polish Canada for review linked here, I started using it right away. My nails have gotten dry and peeling since winter and furnace season hit, and I've also been harder on them lately with lots going on at home. The first picture was the current state of my nails.

The next photo is a capture of my first use. This treatment worked great under polish as a bit of a ridge filler as well. It was also incredibly shiny.

I used the treatment frequently over a two week period to give it a good chance to work. My nails were so thin and brittle that I was surprised to notice a change in two days. I didn't get much in the way of length in the trial period, but I felt a thickening and strengthening on just day two and the pealing I had just flaked off.

This next picture is after the trial period, and you can totally tell the difference. I did not change anything else from my recent less strict nail routine.

As a previous user of Orly Nail Envy, I can comment that the results were the same when I began that treatment. I feel confident that after a few months the growth would be amazing and the nails very strong. I totally can' believe the strength difference over such short a time and the before and after pictures totally prove my point.
I totally recommend this treatment and you can find it linked here at Nail Polish Canada.

Born Pretty Store Review, Black Gel Pot

This look was created with a really cool product I received from Born Pretty Store.
Black Pantyhose linked here.  This gel polish is a sheer black gel pot polish. I applied base coat followed by one coat of Black Pantyhose. I then dotted my dots with blaco acrylic paint and added one more coat of gel and sealing it with gel top coat.

My swamp dotticure turned out amazing. This gel was really great to work with and lasted forever on the nail. I used a cleanup brush to apply the polish and cured it as usual under my LED lamp. I totally recommend trying these cool gel pots.

I loved the sheer and interesting look you can create with this gel. I'd love to try some black stamping soon. If you'd like to try out the polish, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!

Born Pretty Store, Stamping Plates BP-144 and BP-127

Today's looks were created using plates  BP-144 and BP-127 I was sent for review from
Born Pretty Store. For my cherries BP-144 look I used two coats of Pipe Dream Polish Red Light and stamped my cherries before filling them via the leadlight technique.

For my Bows look I used Picture Polish Imperial in two coats and stamped the bow shoes and little stars from BP-127. I filled the images via the leadlight as well and added some dotting.

I loved both of these looks and the stamping plates were both filled with great images and were greatly etched. If you'd like to try out these plates, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!

Born Pretty Store, Laser Chrome Powder

Today I have a loose powder review for you from Born Pretty Store. The Laser Chrome Powder linked here is so stunning, I wore it for a week over a base of Gelaze Spontaneous. I applied this by rubbing it into the inhibition layer of my second coat of the gel polish. Once I was happy with the coverage, I topped it with Gel Topcoat.

This was the easiest to apply loose glitter/powder I have tried so far, and the multi-shift glitter payoff was amazing! As I type this my fingers are gleaming in a gold tone, while twenty minutes ago at my kids school they looked green!

I highly highly recommend this one for pure gorgeous factor and ease of use!!!

Born Pretty Almond Oil and Plate BP-144 Review

Today I have some new goodies from Born Pretty Store.
First up is seriously my new favorite cuticle oil! This oil is available at Born Pretty Store linked here.
This cuticle oil is Almond scented and I mean like amazing almond cookies or something! I once had a hand cream that smelled just like this, and was so sad when I couldn't get it anymore. I've used it for a couple days and find it very moisturizing, but once rubbed in matte enough for photos. I included a swatch photo of Gelaze Frostbite below where I've used it so you can see for yourself. This oil was available in a few yummy scents, but after smelling the almond I would highly recommend it.

For the look below I double stamped the sunflower-ish image from BP-144 over some white stripes. I was going for a late summer/ nautical feel. I loved this image, but chose this plate for review because of the stripes and cherry image on it. I still have to post that one as an advanced stamp look, but I couldn't resist stamping with the floral over my blue base. I tested this image and the cherry, and both were perfectly etched.
The plate BP-144 is available at the Born Pretty Store linked here.

China Glaze Review, Pastel and Shades Of Nude. Spring 2017.

I was contacted by Nail Polish Canada recently and sent three great shades of China Glaze polish from the Spring 2017 line ups, Shades Of Nude Collection and Pastels Collection.
You can see all the shades from Shades Of Nude here, and Pastels here. My selections for review below were all creamy and delish and basically one coaters.

Casual Friday is a soft buttermilk yellow, and a lot less intense than photos I found online. I find my photo fairly accurately represents the softer pastel of this yellow. This is two coats, but took a bit more finess than the other two polishes due to a hint of streaking. Due to the soft and less intense nature of this yellow, it would work with almost any skin tone.

Bourgeois Beige was an easy formula that could be a one coater with easy application, however this is two for reiew purposes. This creamy beige hosts a hint of pinky warmth, but is the type of nude that works well on all skin types. This nude easily just stole top spot in my stash for nudes!

A Waltz In The Park is a soft lilac hue that leans more blue than link or purple. Finish wise, this was the best of the three for formula! Thick enough for a single coat with great coverage and no dragging. This colour was gorgeous on and I like it so much I created a quick acrylic floral look below and wore it to dust!

All in all the products I sampled from the China Glaze Spring 2017 releases were all very strong in formula and great colours I'd recomend to anyone. The yellow was a surprise favorite as a great yellow that also performs well during application is hard to find. I would say these are all need to haves for pastel and China Glaze junkies alike!

Once again you can find the full Chine Glaze line up linked here at Nail Polish Canada.

Born Pretty Store, Chrome Powder Review

Today's review is Gold Blue Purple Manicure Nail Art Glitter Chrome Pigment from Born Pretty Store linked here. I've never tried one of these pigments before, so it was a bit of trial and error to figure out how to stick the powder on. My first try was on damp nail polish, but it didn't really adhere properly so I pulled out my gel polish. I used one coat of nude polish on a gel base. Once cured, I did one coat of gel topcoat and cured it before rubbing the chrome into the inhibition layer with the foam applicator. This stepped was much easier than you'd think, and adhered perfectly! Once I was happy with the coverage, I added another layer of gel top coat.

This topper is almost magical in person and simply glows! If you want to try these out, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!

Born Pretty Store Review,

Today's review is a review of the Silicone Remover Wraps linked here from Born Pretty Store linked here. I've wanted to test these out forever, as I've always used foil and cotton balls to remove my glitters and Gel Polish. The problem with foil, is it cracks and is difficult to keep in place.

This product fixed all of that! To prepare to use these, I cut my cotton balls in half to use half in each tip.

Once I had them settled as needed, it was simple a matter of the usual ten minutes to wait. You are even able to do things while wearing them unlike foil!

One last note was a genius little detail they added on the inside. Little scrubbing nubs that allow you to rub any residual polish off on the way out with a few quick rubbing twists.

Born Pretty Store, Nail Plate Review BP-111

Today's look is another review from Born Pretty Store and the plate BP-111 is linked here.
The plate is a full plate of pattern images, and I chose this soft wave pattern in white. I used Revlon Blue Lagoon for my base and BP-73 for my reverse stamping flower.

This look was so pretty in person, and I can't wait to try the geometric patterns from the plate as well. If you decide to check out this plate or any others, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!
