Born Pretty Review, Tri Colour Gel Polish

Today's look is an amazing Gel Polish I was sent for review.

This was my first ever try of a Thermal Gel. I now can't wait to try out the other two colours from this line that I was sent. The colour change on these is so extreme and lovely. The formula is a little thick, but still totally manageable. I would totally recommend this to you guys. It's just lovely.

All in all, the Gel Polish from Born Pretty Store linked here performed perfectly, and is a beauty to wear. If you'd like to try out the polish, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!

Digital Dozen Getting to Know Me, Gradient With Nail Stamping Day 4

My very last getting to know me look is this gradient look. When planning my looks, I knew I wanted to represent lots of blue because it's my favourite as well as at least one gradient. I love gradients, and don't do them nearly as many as I used to. If I could only do one look forever, the gradient is the way to go.

For my getting to know me point for today I couldn't think of anything at all, till I remembered I paint  in oil and acrylics in my spare time and forgot to mention it under my hobbies.

Thanks for hanging out with us all week!

Cheers all,

St. Patrick's Day Nail Art

Today I felt like a combination of neon and St. Patrick's day! For my base I used China Glaze mmm, Lll by lll and lll by lll.  I then used images from Bundle Monster BM-lll for all my St. Patrick's images. (I'm out right now doing an activity with the kids, but will fill in the blanks shortly!)

If possible, this one was even brighter in person. If you head out tonight for the festivities, please enjoy responsibly!

Born Pretty Nail Stamping Plates Review, BPL-032

Today's look was created with plates I was sent for review from Born Pretty Store linked here.
The plate is BPL-032 linked here.

I used China Glaze Baby Doll for my pink and the yellow is Sunny Days from Rommel. This yellow is my favourite yellow because it's perfect as a base on its own, but magic in gradient looks. I love how it transforms.

On to the plate! This plate is a fantastic Holiday one I chose for review a while back. I knew I'd have to hold off for months before using my favourite images, but I had to have this plate! This pretty scalloped design was the only non-festive image and I love how the final look came together. The image was perfectly engraved and gave me no issues with my pick up.

I would definitely recommend this plate, and have 3 more coming up soon!

31 Day. Day 28, Inspired by a Flag

I didnt want to attempt to recreate a country flag as I've done in the past for #31dc2016 Flag prompt, so I searched around on the Internet till I found some home decor that was cool and flag related. I was inspired by this children's room linked here.
I used Greige Gardens from Sally Hansen on the tips and a base of Sally Hansen Choco-Latte. I stamped my stripes with Espresso from Revlon and the image from Moyou Holy Shapes 02.

I loved this one and wore it long enough to put me behind in the challenge! All caught up now though.

31 Day. Day 23, Inspired by a Movie

I just saw The Princess Bride listed on Shomi, and now I can't wait to watch it. That was my inspiration for this look, since it's been years since I've seen it.

My polishes:
Rimmel Sunny Days
Barielle Swizzle Stix
OPI Shop Til Sunset

My romantic couple and princess are from the plate BP-72 I was sent for review by Born Pretty Store and the lips and XOXO are from BP-L012

I really like the sunset and shadow effect and might come back to this effect soon!

As I said, this plate is from  Born Pretty Store linked here. If you check it out, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!

31 Day. Day 20, Water Marble

I'm going to come right out and say it, I can't marble at all and I'm phoning this one in! I thought for a while on how I could get around the term 'water marble'.

This look is what I came up with.
I used Sally Hansen White Out as base, and the swirled my two blues on the sponge to create a marbled gradient. I wish I had added some erratic lines to make this more like a marble look.

I double stamped water drops on my gradient to represent water, and there you have it! Water...and Marble...sort of.

I hope you like my cheat as it was that or skip the prompt all together!

Cheers all,

31 Day. Day 15, Delicate

The theme for today's #31dc2016 is delicate, and I thought of these China Doll images. This one also hits today's Digital Dozen does '4' with four polishes used. I used Julep Toni and Orly Frosting for my base. I then used Go Crazy Red from China Glaze and Liquid Leather for the distressing. I created my little ladies on the stamper and reverse stamped them. I used images from BM-617 for the ladies and the floral.

Hope everyone is enjoying the #31dc2016 as much as I am.

31 Day. Day 13, Animal Print. Digital Dozen 4!

Today is animal print for #31dc2016 as well as day two of Digital Dozen 4 week. I went with techniques again for my 4 cue. I chose dotting, stamping, gradients and animal prints itself as my 4! I used Essie Full Steam Ahead and Don't Rock the Boat for my base. I used Nicole By OPI Khloe Had a Lamb Lamb for everything else!

I loved this, and could wear it a loooong time. I did just realize, that the bottle I'm using in the photo is not actually the purple I used in the mani! Ha!

Cheers all,

31 Day. Day 12, Stripes. Digital Dozen 4!

I loved this soft pastel blues and purples look I created for #31dc2016 Stripes day. I used Essie Full Steam Ahead and Don't Rock the Boat as base. I then used this unknown purple for the dotting and gradient. I used Nabi Sky for my stripe stamping.

On a very special note, this look also hits all the right cues for this weeks Digital Dozen does 4 week! Why 4? It's the Digital Dozens 4th anniversary this year. Today's 'four,' was four techniques. I used dotting, gradients, stamping and glitter placement!!

The stamping over glitter was a bit wonkie, but otherwise I loved this! Congratulations to all my fellow members on the monumentus anniversary!

Cheers all,

31 Day. Day 10, Gradient

This look was sort of collecting dust in my unposted bin for about a year, but is great for #31dc2016 Gradient day. I used an image from Hehe-046 and created the stamping gradient with blue and white! My base is Sally Hansen Mousseline, and as an FYI this was the longest my nails have ever been!

Hope you had a great weekend!

Another stamping plate review for Born Pretty Store stamping plates. This image is from plate BP-X01 and I loved the images on this plate! For my design, I created a gradient using Color Club Neon  Green and Sally Hansen Mousseline. My stamping polish is China Glaze Liquid Leather.

I loved the Brocade feel to this manicure, and the plate is from  Born Pretty Store linked here. If you check it out, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!

Tropical Dots, Summer Manicure

Still trying to beat the heat here in Ontario Canada. I'm not sure if everyone else is as well, but we've been well into the 30's for weeks. Our summers are usually more temperate, but I'm not complaining. We've just been swimming more!

This look was inspired by the heat! I used My Indie Polish Zip and Zap for this. They were from last years summer release and compliment each other well. I started with the orange as base and then created the gradient. Then I stamped the tropical flowers from BM-XL108 and also added the dots with Color Club Gift Of Sparkle.

I tried something new with my dots by doing them in a circular pattern instead of straight lines. This technique just looked slightly drunk in the end. Oh well!

Cheers all, and stay cool!

Digital Dozen Does Fashion, Day 1

This week The Digital Dozen is redoing Fashion as our prompt. When we were choosing prompts for the upcoming months, Fashion stuck out as one of those topics that deserves a second go.

I've been inspired by hand painted clothing I've been seeing on Etsy lately, this design in particular linked here.  I love the idea of hand painted or silk screened clothes. The wearable art of it, and it being one of a kind. For the nails I used:

Ruby White Tips Blue Realm
Dragon Claw Polish Blazing Banana
OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls

I reached for BP74 for the stamping image from Born Pretty Store, as it's a plate I had awaiting review. It was the perfect choice, and I want to try out all the cute butterflies on this plate as well. It would be a great plate for summer manis, and it picked up easily.

As I said, I managed to double this one up as a review and the plate is available at the Born Pretty Store linked here. If you do check it out, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!

Check out my girls below for the rest of today's fashionable looks.

Digital Dozen Does Gradient Day Five, Greenient

So today I wanted a springtime look with some plant inspired stamping. I recently purchased the loose plate BM-S206 from Bundle Monster and I stamped this combo of images from it on a wild and wonderful combo of Crash from My Indie Polish and this amazing green/shimmer from Color Club on the tips. I know, another French tip gradient for 3/5 this week, but I couldn't help it. I loved the look...and if I'm honest it's quicker to clean up too!

So, hope everyone enjoyed gradient week. Check out the girls final looks below and enjoy your weekend!

Digital Dozen Does Gradient, Day Four, Festival Nails

It's music festival season and with all the new images and festivals I'm seeing inspired manis everywhere. I thought I'd get in on the action with the plates I had on hand. For my base I used Finger Paints Don't Make A Scene and then created a gradient with teal acrylic. I then tested out stamping on acrylic paint without top coating first.....drumroll....you totally can. I used Moyou London Fashionista Collection 04 with Revlon Midnight Affair.

I totally loved how the nude to teal gradient turned out. I'm also glad I stamped in navy instead of black! So what do you think, Should I head to Cochella?

Cheers all,

Digital Dozen Does Gradients, Day Three, Moyou London

So this look is the something a little different I hinted at in my last post. I'm calling this gradient style a Fickle Gradient!! I started with a regular gradient using Sinful Color Endless Blue and China Glaze Celtic Sun. I then used the skinny end of the cosmetic wedge to add the FICKLE unpredictable faded lines up the length of the nail. I also stamped an image from Moyou London Fashionista Collection 04.

So a little different but cool right? I will for sure do this look again for a base! Do you like my Fickle gradient? Or is it too 'messy' to be a look?

Don't forget the InLinkz below, as today's look are awesome!
