Born Pretty Review, Nail Staping BPL-63
Today's look was the second plate I was recently sent by Born Pretty Store for review. The cute jumping monkey image was from plate BPL-63 linked here from Born Pretty Store.
For polishes I used all Sally Hansen Choco-Late, Mousseline and Black Heart.

Digital Dozen Getting to Know Me, Easter Nail Look...But Totally Unplanned!
Ok, so I'm a big lover of happy surprises, and this one snuck up on me! I was going for girlie, because that's another thing for the Getting To Know Me file...I'm very girlie. I was looking to come up with a totally girly look, so I grabbed this doily image from BMXL-01 and a huge handful of polish!
I created an awesome girlie distressed base on Orly Lollipop and then stamped and matted the whole thing. Once I was finished, the whole thing ended up so Easter-ish it hit on an unplanned thing about me...my love of holidays! I wasn't going for Easter, but it worked out well with this week falling on Easter!

I loved it! Funny thing about Getting To Know Me week is that so far, I've ended up with all looks I'd wear to dust!

Digital Dozen Does Black, Day 4.
This look is a cheeky play on words, and inspired by the TV show Black Sails. If you haven't watched it, it's a very naughty good show! Based on the pirate life prior to the story line of Treasure Island, the story focuses on real and literary pirates based in the Bahamas during the prime years of pirate attacks called the 'Republic Of Pirates' that operated during the years of 1706–1718.
I created the distressed nails with grey and black acrylic paint on nude and stamped these adorable crossbones on my center nails.
If you get a chance to watch the show, you should check it out. One warning, the first couple episodes were a little dry with pirate politics. The series does pick up after this, and we really enjoy it. Don't forget to check out the links of my ladies below!

Digital Dozen Does Vampy, Thursday
Today's Digital Dozen Does Vampy is a dark and distressed fall look using one of my favourite fall images BM-H11 on a background of OPI Schnapps Out Of It distressed with black acrylic paint. For my stamping I used Essie Penny Talk.
That's all she wrote! I loved this one!

31 Day. Day 31, Honor an Artist you Love
Today's look was inspired by Nailexperiments linked here. Her look was super cute with stars and a Unicorn head. I didn't have similar stamps, so I did hearts from BM-H18 and a full silhouette from BM-615. I enhanced the hair and lengthened the horn a little bit, and added the little star and dotting. My distressed base is a mix of Twiggie from Color Club, Essie Full Steam Ahead and Nails Inc Mayfair Lane.
I matted and loved this look! I love Unicorns, and I don't know why this might be my first unicorn mani ever...I think!

31 Day. Day 26, Inspired by a Pattern
Today's look is inspired by a pattern. I've been wanting to do a plaid look for a while, so I went for it with this dotting and plaid look. I used Barielle Swizzle Stix as my turquoise/blue base and my distressed fingers are Sunny Days from Rimmel and the Barielle. My stamping is Essie Penny Talk and the images are both BP-L013. I actually attempted to double stamp the plaid in the yellow, but it hardly showed.
Below is the first take on this mani, but I kind of hated and redid the dotting fingers to the plaid. They weren't as crisp or as cute as my final look.
Getting close to the end of the challenge, hope everyone's struggling to keep up like me...lol!

31 Day. Day 16, Geometric.
Today is #31dc2016 Geometric day and the final day of Digital Dozen does '4'. I was going for a spiral look with this one, with these rectangular spiral patterns. I created a simple distress with black on hot pink and then tried to flow the spiral pattern from nail to nail so each would be different to make for '4' different nails! The stamping didn't at all flow from each as I'd hoped, but I still loved the final!
Have a good weekend everyone!

31 Day. Day 5, Blue
Today's Blue look for #31dc2016 was fun and I wore it awhile on both hands. I used Barielle Swizzle Stix and a navy I can't remember for my base polishes and used white polish to distress the teal nails. I then stamped an image from Bundle Monster BM-606 in the navy and a silver polish on the darker fingers for a pop.
Hope you guys are enjoying the month so far. What prompts are you looking forward to? I'm looking forward to Fashion and Tutorial! Any tutorial recommendations?

31 Day. Day 4, Green. Review BP-X02
I created this crazy graffiti look with another Born Pretty Store plate BP-X02 linked here, that I was sent for review. I loved this plate and can't wait to use it again. I used Ruby White Tips Blue Realm and an unnamed neon green for base. The rest of the distressing is acrylic paint. I then alternated stamping and reverse stamping the symbols. The plate has some great Asian style patterns that were really pretty.
This look was so funky in person, I just loved it! As I said, this plate is from Born Pretty Store linked here. If you check it out, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!

Digital Dozen Does Negative Space, Day 5
This neon and cactus look was one of those manicures where everything went wrong. I dinged three fingers, wrecked and misplaced a couple of my homemade decals and had to do a number of 'fixes'. When I was done however, this was my favourite negative space look of Digital Dozen week! My varied gradient was created with a makeup wedge and neon acrylic paint. My decals I created on my silicon mat and placed on the nails. I'm glad I made five so I had spares when disaster struck.
I hope you guys like this one as much as I did.

Digital Dozen Does Fashion, Day 3
The design was inspired by these fantastic made to order leather goods on Etsy linked here. I really fell in love with the keychains when I was cruising Etsy looking at custom clothing. I know they aren't fashion specifically, but lately I've been personally into accessorizing outfits and feel a simple look can be transformed by it. I used plate BP-71 available linked here from Born Pretty another great plate I was sent.
For the nails I used neon orange from Color Club and distressed the center with white and a gold shimmer polish. I stamped the little lovebirds in Revlon Espresso. I had 'fumbly hand' the day I did this, so it's my fault where the image transfer isn't perfect. I loved the final though, so I kept it.
Once again, the plate is from Born Pretty Store linked here. If you do check it out, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!

Born Pretty Stamping Plates Review
You'll notice a drastic length change since my previous post. I was headed to a cottage for a week with the fam, and honestly didn't want to worry about breaking nails or scratching my kids in the lake. So, chop chop! I loved these though and they lasted my whole trip.
The base is Sally Hansen White Out, and I distressed using China Glaze Go Crazy Red and A Color Club Neon Pink. The abstract rose pattern was sent to me by Born Pretty Store BP-73 linked here. Hope you like my short and pink doodles.

Communion Nails
BP-L026 is the same plate available at the Born Pretty Store linked here that I used for the hot pink distressed look yesterday. This is a second look I created with the same plate to coordinate with the dress I wore for my son's First Holy Communion on this past Saturday. I first created a yellow and silver distress on a base of Sally Hansen White On. I then chose this delicate leaf pattern from BP-L026 because I thought it matched nicely without being too matchy.
I was very happy to get the above family photo, as sometimes it's difficult to get good pictures with two young boys.
The communion went really well and my son was so proud of himself on his special day. Once again, the plate is from Born Pretty Store linked here. I'm still really impressed with the quality. If you do check it out, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!

Born Pretty Nail Stamping, Nature and Graffiti
BP-L026 is another plate available at the Born Pretty Store linked here. These two coordinating images are both from the same plate, a very nature themed one. I was feeling like a mix of grungy distress/nature. I'm really liking how obscure and interesting this looked. The mix of the grungy distressed hot pink from Color Club with the delicate leaf patterns was fun.
You should check out this plate BP-L026 and their others at the Born Pretty Store linked here. I'm still really impressed with the quality. If you do check it out, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!
I have a one more plates to spotlight for you coming up as well as the a second look from this plate and a review of that super fine detail brush!

I'm Red Hot and in Distress!
I created this look a while back and never got around to posting it. I kind of wondered if it is too abstract art and 'out there' for nails. I was culling through some dusty old posts sitting in my drafts folder and really took a shine to it looking back. So what the heck here you go. I used tons of polish for this one, even a micro glitter in the middle layers for a gritty bumpy effect. All of the shimmers are from Ruby White Tips and the base is OPI Cha-Ching Cherry.
Well, you'll love it or hate it...let me know below. I'm curious and still on the fence myself!

Digital Dozen Does Neon, Fish Bones
Today is Fish prompt day for OMD3 and Day 2 for Neon, so for this one I went looking in my plates for a fish bones stamp. I swear I had one in one of the Bundle Monster sets I own. Anyway, I was able to find this Herringbone pattern instead. For my base I used OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and the Blue and Pink are Sinful Colors Endless Blue and another unnamed neon from Color Club. The image is from plate BM-606 from Bundle Monster.
I really liked this. It was such a party on my nails. I wore this on both hands for a night away with the hubs. I created it to match a blouse I wore out for dinner.

January 5, Dotting Tool
These were a quickie, cause dotting is awesome and easy like that. I did two coats of China Glaze Pink Voltage and then distressed it with Pure Ice No Means No. Then I did all my dots in acrylic.
Difficulty: Super de duper easy
Time: 12 minutes
I love wearing neons in the winter, it kind of cheers you up. Try it out if you have a touch of the blahs!
