Digital Dozen Does Paper, Star Wrap
The inspiration for this one was some Sally Foster Wrapping Paper linked here. I love wrapping paper and this isn't my first time using it for inspiration. For this look I combined Ideas I borrowed from two of the paper patterns in the picture. My base is Nicole By OPI Back To Reality TV, and I stamped the dotting and freehand the stars on top.
That's all for today, but I've got a wild one tomorrow. Don't forget to check out my girls on Inlinkz below.

Digital Dozen Does Paper, Unicorn
This look was inspired by a full hand of Unicorns with 3D horns made of modeling clay by @polish4people on Instagram linked here. For my 'paper week' purposes, I had to figure out how to recreate the horn out of paper. I took one photo before I added the horn just in case I wrecked everything, so first up is a picture of my rainbow horse! I also convinced Cathy from More Nail Polish linked here to join in this insanity, so you have to check out her amazing look as well in the Inlinkz below.
1. I took a Post It not and cut a tiny triangle and rolled it into a small cone with a bit of tape.
2. I then covered the entire cone in base and top gel polish and cured it.
3. I then used a coloured gel polish to create the spiral so I could see what I was doing.
In the finished look I added a holo top coat, but I kind of wished I'd left it as it was. In case your wondering, I stuck the cone on the tip of a detail brush so I could hold it while working.
All in all, I loved it! It was a fun experimental project and really pushed me to figure out how to use paper physically this week.

Digital Dozen Does Rainforests, Toucan Nail Art
Today's look is the super cute freehand twinsie with Cheyenne from @cdbnails143 on Instagram and fellow Digital Dozen that I was mentioning yesterday. The look was an original creation from @lifeisbetterpolished that I've wanted to copy forever and Cheyenne found it online as well. Great minds think alike!
The base on this one is the sheer nude Mousseline from Sally Hansen. This took three coats and my design is all acrylic paint. I even got to dig out the seldom used 'giant' dotting tool for this one.
Side story, I was supposed to make my toucan belly yellow as Cheyenne did for a change, but forgot and copied the original. Oh well, did you notice?

Digital Dozen Does Rain Forests, Lizard Nails
Today's look is a super cute freehand twinsie/bestie with Cheyenne from @cdbnails143 on Instagram and fellow Digital Dozen member. The look was lightly inspired by a lizard look from Robin Moses a while back.We traded two looks for the week and this is the first! All the tropical plants and my lizard are acrylic pain on two coats of Crash from Indie Polish. Once dry, I matted this one as well to show off the details better.
Don't forget to follow the links below to see Cheyenne's amazing version in her post, as well as the day 2 looks from the other girls. I can't wait to show you the second look from Cheyenne and myself as it might be some of the cutest nail art ever!

Digital Dozen Getting to Know Me, Easter Nail Look...But Totally Unplanned!
Ok, so I'm a big lover of happy surprises, and this one snuck up on me! I was going for girlie, because that's another thing for the Getting To Know Me file...I'm very girlie. I was looking to come up with a totally girly look, so I grabbed this doily image from BMXL-01 and a huge handful of polish!
I created an awesome girlie distressed base on Orly Lollipop and then stamped and matted the whole thing. Once I was finished, the whole thing ended up so Easter-ish it hit on an unplanned thing about me...my love of holidays! I wasn't going for Easter, but it worked out well with this week falling on Easter!

I loved it! Funny thing about Getting To Know Me week is that so far, I've ended up with all looks I'd wear to dust!

Neon Roses Nail Art
I created this look over the weekend because I've been aching for some more neon. Winter is dragging, and neons always feel like summer. This look was one I saved to recreate ages ago from @deanne29 on Instagram. I was going to link the account, but it appears she's stopped posting.
My bases and flowers were an unnamed Neon Green from Color Club and Choco-Latte from Sally Hansen. The black details are all acrylic paint.
I straight up loved everything about this, and I'm totally doing it again soon!

Born Pretty Plate BP-L050 Review
Today's look was created with plates I was sent for review from Born Pretty Store linked here.
The plate is BP-L050 linked here.
This was my fave of the plates I was sent, and the swirls and patterns are going to get so much use in future. I used a neon green and Frosting from Orly to create the gradient before adding the dark green stamping. I loved this in person, wore it for almost a week. As usual, this plate worked really well and was perfectly etched.

31 Day, Day 25, Inspired by Fashion
I didn't know what I was going to do for fashion, as there is so much inspiration out there. I decided to look at men's fashion and found this line of wild neon camouflage looks from DSquared linked here. I used China Glaze Celtic Sun as my neon base and neon acrylic paint for the rest. On my black and white base fingers I used one coat of Snow-flakes shimmer polish from Color Club and then decided to throw in the black doodle image at the last minute from BP-L013.
I matted the whole thing and loved how quirky it turned out, while it still managed to keep a masculine/feminine feel.

31 Day. Day 19, Galaxies
I've always wanted to attempt a neon or pastel galaxy, so #31dc2016 Galaxy day was the perfect opportunity.
I used Sally Hansen White Out as base and neon acrylics for the background. I then added Femme Fatale Mirror Mirror on the Wall for some twinkle and added my planets and constellations!
Anyone see the dipper in there?

31 Day. Day 16, Geometric.
Today is #31dc2016 Geometric day and the final day of Digital Dozen does '4'. I was going for a spiral look with this one, with these rectangular spiral patterns. I created a simple distress with black on hot pink and then tried to flow the spiral pattern from nail to nail so each would be different to make for '4' different nails! The stamping didn't at all flow from each as I'd hoped, but I still loved the final!
Have a good weekend everyone!

Digital Dozen Does Negative Space, Day 5
This neon and cactus look was one of those manicures where everything went wrong. I dinged three fingers, wrecked and misplaced a couple of my homemade decals and had to do a number of 'fixes'. When I was done however, this was my favourite negative space look of Digital Dozen week! My varied gradient was created with a makeup wedge and neon acrylic paint. My decals I created on my silicon mat and placed on the nails. I'm glad I made five so I had spares when disaster struck.
I hope you guys like this one as much as I did.

Pink Failure! Summer Nail Art.
So in my head this was an amazing graphical kind of 80's blast! Once I finished it, I hated it! Summer nail art failness!
For the look I used:
-BM-314 stamped with China Glaze Liquid Leather
-Rimmel Sunny Days
-Color Club unnamed hot pink
-Cult Nails Wax That
Hope you all hate these along with me! Ha!

Tropical Dots, Summer Manicure
Still trying to beat the heat here in Ontario Canada. I'm not sure if everyone else is as well, but we've been well into the 30's for weeks. Our summers are usually more temperate, but I'm not complaining. We've just been swimming more!
This look was inspired by the heat! I used My Indie Polish Zip and Zap for this. They were from last years summer release and compliment each other well. I started with the orange as base and then created the gradient. Then I stamped the tropical flowers from BM-XL108 and also added the dots with Color Club Gift Of Sparkle.
I tried something new with my dots by doing them in a circular pattern instead of straight lines. This technique just looked slightly drunk in the end. Oh well!
Cheers all, and stay cool!

Neon Pink Nail Stamping, Yellow Tail Moscato
So this post is an unplanned thank you to a cool summer promo I just picked up at the liquor store here in Ontario. Yellow Tail Wine is currently giving away a bottle of Nailsinc nail polish with the purchase of a bottle of their Muscato linked here.
Described as,
"Passionfruit, melon, freshly crushed grapes Flavours: zingy tropical fruit with a crisp, refreshing finish. Enjoy: well chilled as an apéritif or with summer salads"
This wine was like a sip of summer! We loved this as a treat with a gorgeous steak and salad meal my husband prepared this week, and this treat of a wine with the polish promo was $10.95 Canadian. After some online digging, I found the polish itself retails for $17 for a .47oz bottle. The bottle in the promo is .27oz.
From what I could tell, there are four shades available. I grabbed Mayfair Lane, and used it as a base for this pattern on pattern stamping look. I distressed the base with neon pink and stamped the double stamped images from Moyou Fashionista Collection 04 and BM-606. The formula on the Nails Inc was great, and I plan to wear it again soon on it's own as the colour was the perfect soft pink. There's even a hashtag for the promo #YTsummeradventure if you manage to get your hands on one. I went back two days after the first bottle and they were out at two LCBO's in my area. I still grabbed the wine though!!
Thanks Yellow Tail for this delicious promotion. Two of my very favorite things brought together for around $10! Couldn't pass it up.
If anyone is wondering about this date night meal, It's fresh lobster with a Chipotle mango steak, fresh bakery Focaccia loaf and Santa Fe salad.

Digital Dozen Does Fashion, Day 5.
This super fun summer double stamp look was inspired by two things, my love of chevrons and this neon chevron dress linked here. I used two of my unnamed neons from Color Club and stamped stripes in a tone on tone style using Holy Shapes Collection 02 again and then added the chevrons in Liquid Leather from China Glaze.
You know when a look makes you giddy, this was that! I love how summery and just fun this turned out.
The pictures don't do this one any justice, and forgiving the yucky black cuticle slick, this is my fave look of the week! That said, I'm really happy with this weeks looks!

Born Pretty Stamping Plates
So this look turned out about as summery as you can get. I used China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy Gel Polish in two coats and then stamped the feathers from BM-75 sent to me recently from Bundle Monster available linked here. I then sealed the whole thing with Gellish Topcoat.
Bundle Monster nail stamping plates are available linked here. If you do check them out, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!
