Digital Dozen Does Negative Space Week, Day 3

Today I decided to try using Negative Space as part of my art instead of using it in the more traditional ways I'm terrible at!

I used a fan brush to fan royal blue and turquoise onto clear nails and stamped white waves on top from BM-504 and then created sea creature decals on my latex mat using:

My Indie Polish Zip
Color Club Neon Pink
The creature images are from Moyou Sailor Collection 01.

I really like using Negative Space as an art element, and might need to try it again soon.

Cheers all,

Digital Dozen Does Whimzy Week, Day 3 Tropical Floral Mix and Match

Okay, I've gotten sidetracked by life this week and fallen off on yesterday's post so here it is! I'll have day four up shortly as well, and my fave is day five tomorrow. The tropical floral design for this was a quick and easy one created with all acrylic paints. I found the dots and flower mix whimsical in keeping with today's theme, but this glitter polish was what inspired this look. I find the mix on this one so unique, it just screamed whimsy.

I found this look totally off beat and fun, full of design elements and colours I might not ordinarily mix! Perfect for Digital Dozen Whimsy Week. Check out my girls below, and I'll check back soon.

Cheers all,

OMD3 Day 10, Floral. Tropical Skitlette, Advanced Stamping

This post is for Day 10 OMD3 for the Floral Prompt. This image is from BM XL-109 from the newer Polynesian Plate release. I wanted to work on my advanced stamping with these, All the base colours are from My Indie Polish;
-Crash-Green
-Bam-Purple
- Pow-Pink
- Zap-Blue
I then used complimentary colours to add the centre to each flower. I waited about 20 seconds for each centre to dry before stamping these directly to the nail and top coating.

These were shocking and fun in person, and way easier than I thought the advanced stamping would be.

Jindie, Skittlette

So this look is just awesome and I'm still wearing it. Even redid one finger that chipped, that's how much I love it. I'm a big neon, dots AND of course Jindie fan. The indie accent finger is Betty's Fetti Milkshake, which of course you guys have seen on my hands a ton because it's my very favorite. I dotted using black acrylic on some Color Club Neons, and my floral design was acrylic neons in a matching colour. This look was inspired by a yellow similar design The Little Canvas posted on Instagram linked here.

Side note, that Jindie is in just one coat! I just loved pulling the corresponding colours from the itty-bitty micro glitter.

P is for Pale, February 26

P is for Pale is today's A2Z prompt. I decided I wanted to create a pale and Chrome look skitlettes similar to the style of Chit Chat Nails. I love her stuff and she's famous for gorgeous mix in match manis. The nude in this one is Klean Color Sheer Pink Nude and the silver an unnamed one I generally save for stamping the white is my go to Paper Mâché from Finger Paints. After two coats in the base department, I dotted using the silver and both a medium and small dotting tool. I then stamped a diamond pattern in silver, and then the pinwheel in Konad White.

This came out exactly how it looked in my mind. I love the contrast of the nude jelly with the metallic and very opaque silver.

Cheers all,

Crumpets Prompt, White Base Week

I've been an on again off again member of the Crumpets for the last little bit due to the good old  challenges, and now want to get back into regular posts based on group prompts. This mani is for the white base prompt this week. I started with my white bling finger and worked out the skitlette from there. As Inspiration for this I used @celinaryden from Instagram. Her page has tons of great looks styled like this. Go check her out when you get the chance.

The colours I used were;
Finger Paints Paper Mache
Sinful Colors Cream Pink
China Glaze Liquid Leather
The grey was acrylic

Hope you dig these girlie skittles!

Cheers all,

Pink Flying Cow Design Nail Art

Welcome to another edition of Freehand Fridays with Ashley aka BWLBlogger.
We cooked this one up because we are both big fans of Pinkflying cow on YouTube linked here. If you haven't checked out her channel you really should. Most of her stuff has this pop art comic feel. It's happy, fun and I love it. Ashley's IG page is linked here. Pinkflyingcow look had this fun ring finger gradient with the skull cherries. It's about the darn cutest thing I ever did see. I then did the stripey half moons and added a little glitter to hide any flaws. All in all adorable.

And here is both or looks together!

I really liked the above, but the half moons weren't my best stripes ever, so I removed them and went to work. I next did the shooting star finger which is another of Pinkflying cows designs from her channel. For the remaining two fingers I went dotting wild in a pop art style. I used a ton of colours for this look, but if you want any specifics just leave me a note in the comments.

I have to say, this is my fave design of the last little bit. How could it not be right! So happy and summery. I just love it.

Cheers all,
