31 Day. Day 3, Yellow. Review, BP-X04

Today is #31dc2016 Yellow! I used BP-X04 that I was just sent for review to create this fruit salad!! The plate is pretty awesome with some candy and fruit images. It's worth a look and linked here. I used Rimmel Sunny Days for the base and OPI Shop 'Til Sunset as well acrylic paints to create my advance stamp fruits and dots.

As I said, this plate is from  Born Pretty Store linked here. If you check it out, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!

Digital Dozen Does Negative Space, Day 5

This neon and cactus look was one of those manicures where everything went wrong. I dinged three fingers, wrecked and misplaced a couple of my homemade decals and had to do a number of 'fixes'. When I was done however, this was my favourite negative space look of Digital Dozen week! My varied gradient was created with a makeup wedge and neon acrylic paint. My decals I created on my silicon mat and placed on the nails. I'm glad I made five so I had spares when disaster struck.

I hope you guys like this one as much as I did.

Twinsies with Copycat Claws, Sand Castle Nails

These were a cute design Serene from Copycat Claws and I picked out for some Twinsie fun today. I'd been wanting to work on some really summery and intricate freehand stuff and Serene was up for the challenge too. Once finished I got lucky to see that my little crab friend helps me fill in Day 22 of OMD3 for the Star Sign prompt. The symbol for the Star Sign for Cancer is actually a Crab, so it works out perfectly! I have to tell you guys this was a really fun look to work on, and especially with someone else. Don't forget to follow this link over to see Serene's. For my base I used My Boyfriend Scaled Walls from OPI and the rest was created in acrylic with my tiniest detail brush and matted with Cult Nails Wax That.

The first picture I took to show you how I began to outline the image as these across the nails designs can be tricky to line up.

I hope you guys love our crabby lil guys as much as we did. Don't forget to visit Serene linked here if you haven't already!

Digital Dozen Fandom Week, Day 1 Native Nail Art

So guys, I had trouble choosing Fandom looks for this week. I don't really get 'into' stuff like wild, and most of the stuff I have already created looks for. I started to think about what I am crazy about that isn't a typical Fandom idea. The first one thought of was Aboriginal/Native Art. I love the style and esthetic of Aboriginal/Native Art. I grew up camping at a Reserve in Ontario when I was young and I still remember always stopping at an amazing shop full of paintings, carvings and Aboriginal/Native dolls and toys. Everything was made  of gorgeous woods and skins, beads and furs. I have more vivid memories of the shop and smelt fishing then the actual camping.

Anyway, I did some Instagram research and found some artists who work in the style that tugs on my memories. I created this look based on a many different canvas and pottery works on IG. I used Hazard from Sinful Colors as my base and my fish and birds, dotting are all acrylic paint. I then matted.

This one took awhile as you can imagine, so I used Polish M, Drop it Like its Dots on my thumb. Do yourself a favour if you like this, and Google search Native Art. It's so different and really amazing.

#clairestelle8june, Flamingo Nails

So a cutie I know on IG posts a monthly challenge. You'd know her as @clairesttelle8 linked here, and the hashtag for this month's prompts is #clairestelle8june if you want to join in. Today's prompt was flamingos, and I've never tried the big pink guys. For this look I used Sally Hansen White out as base except for the yellow which is Lexington Yellow from NYC. The matte glitter polish is Amanda from Ruby White Tips...and yes it's named after me teehee for those of you that don't know. My freehand details are all acrylics except for my pinkie which is recycled from an upcoming stamping mani.

Squawk squawkity squawk! So says my bossy pink friend! Almost forgot...distracted by all the squawking...the whole thing is matte as well!

Dragon Claw Polish, Banana Dots

Something maybe a little Earth shattering for you today!! "But it's a dotticure!" You say? I say, "does this look like just any dotticure..." This is about the flashiest dotticure I've ever done to date. The base is two coats of Blazing Bannana available here over white, and dotted in two sizes with black and neon green acrylic paint. GAH I love neons!

Anyway, I end with just a Weensie bit of macro love for Blazing Bannana. Cause, well...RESPECT!

Digital Dozen, Geometric Week. Day 3/5

Another combo look coming at you for today's day three Geometric for The Digital Dozen. I chose four geometric stamping images from Moyou Artist Plate 15, and stamped in Konad white...with my new Creative Stamper! Side note, that thing really is a dream! My base for this is Twiggie from Color Club and the dots are acrylic paint. The whole thing is matte this time.

For some reason this reminded me of a circuit board. Don't forget to check my girls hard work today in the inlinkz below.

Digital Dozen, Geometric Week. Day 1/5

Geometric is defined as "characterized by or decorated with regular lines or shapes" on the two definition websites I checked, so I feel this gives me free reign to stamp and dot my face off this week! First up is a coral look, this is Sinful Colors Hazard. This bottle is actually pretty empty as its a go too coral in the summer. Darn you Target for closing in Canada! Where will I get a replacement now!! Anyway, I stamped in a wine coloured Essie and dotted in red and brown acrylic paint then matted the whole deal. I was going for a repeating, but not uniform look and found the end result really striking. I wore this for Mother's Day...and still am actually.

I'm straight up loving adding art to stamping lately. sometimes dotting, and sometimes freehand. It adds a lot of depth and creates a unique look. Don't forget about my friends below, I'm loving today's looks.

Indie Polish, Drinks With Umbrellas Tropical Nail Art

Another look today with Drinks With Umbrellas from Indie Polish. It's been a bit since I created something Tropical...cause you know, 6 feet of snow out there and all. The gradient was created using only polish from the Indie Polish collection linked here and the Palm trees with black acrylic paints.

It's crazy how much this makes me crave the sunshine and a fizzy drink out by a pool.

OMD2, 6. Duochrome

For these I started with a base of Sinful Colors Gorgeous, after that I layered on a ton of duochromes and shimmer polishes to create this sunset look. I've done a sunset prior to this, but wanted to attempt this one in an all shimmery look. I'm not going to list all the polishes, but mostly it's the Above The Curve Doctor Who Collection number two. The island and trees were created with black acrylic paint.

This image below I took outside as the day was cloudy and this mani was a sparkling tricky mess to get pics of.

This last picture is just the fingers with the island art in close up. I'm pretty happy with how these turned out.

Sunset Palm Tree Nail Art

I'm Starting with an apollogy, because this luscious shimmery red is a franken I made, and sorry not available anywhere. Muah haha! Anyway, this is two coats of my franken red with topcoat followed by the art. I took a coral shimmer a yellow cream and a touch of white cream and added small swipes of colour horizontally across the two nails till I liked the look. I allowed this to dry then used a black striper to create the tree and land. This was super easy and I took a quick look at a couple tutorials on YouTube to refresh my memory before I started.

Hope you enjoyed these summery lovelies! I even did matching toes.

Cheers all,

Manicure Remix, Neon Floral

So I'm Calling this post Manicure Remix, and I think I've decided this will be a recurring series. Whenever I have a post that's very popular and I loved wearing, I will remix the look by using the same colours and element's, but create a totally different look.

So for my first remix I chose my Neon fun look....linked here and I reused‎ my colour palette. I took the floral and dot elements and put them together on the nails and created a black and white version of the design as my accent nail. After top coating my accent I also added the pearl as this week's Eeek prompt is Pearl. I'm loving the look together and I think it qualifies! If you want to join in the fun for the remaining week, you can find the info linked here.

Love this again, and hope you guys do as well. Also, don't forget to look at the other Pearl Manicures in the Inlinkz below.

Polish Addict Summer Berries

I'm in the mood...the mood for some summer, or at least summer polish! So, ‎Polish Addict Nail Color Summer Berries it is! It was soo cold and snowy in Ontario Canada that since spring hit, I've been mostly craving more pretty and pastel shades.

This is two coats of Summer Berries over one coat of Sally Hansen Berry Juicy with topcoat. Summer Berries is a lovely mix of berry coloured glitter in various shapes and sizes. The base is a pastel pink shade with a hint of purple to it. It's soo sweet it makes my teeth hurt! I just adored this polish.

After these pictures I thought why not add a cute little strawberry leaf top as an accent 'berry' finger. I added a base of white acrylic for the shape and to make the greens pop without showing through the glitters. Then I added Essie Shake Your $$$ Maker and Nicole by OPI Daffy Dill to create the leafy strawberry tops.

I hope you enjoy my hint of summer! I know yesterday really felt like summer, and I spent the day in the park with my family!

Cheers all,
