January 23, White Base

I wasn't sure if I'd do another detail art look for the White Base prompt today or not. I then remembered it's been ages since I did any animail prints. I always use white as my gradient base to increase the vibrancy of the gradient colours. In this case I used my acrylic paint gradient technique for ease of clean up and then added a varied animal stripe in black.

I really liked the animal pattern I created this time, it was a little more organic in its flow.

Indie Polish, Fit To Be Tied Swatch and Review

***Sent for review and art
With the challenge up, it's been awhile since I did a good swatch post. So when Indie polish sent me her Valentines Duo and something else awesome...still to come...I jumped on board! I've swatched and worked with four of the polishes sent, and guys they are amazing to work with! This first is Fit To Be Tied from the duo and will be in shop linked here shortly! This was just two coats. It's super unique in the colour flashes it has in a charcoal grey base. I couldn't stop staring. It's like a rainbow in the night or the Northern Lights in a bottle.

Tomorrow I'm pop up Rapture, and it really is Rapturous! I also will be sharing some art creations shortly for all of these. Can't wait to share. Don't forget to grab these limited duo's while you can in the Indie Polish shop linked here.

January 22, Blobbicure

***Sent for review***
I have one last look using all those great supplies from Simply Spoiled Beauty linked here. Please use my code LMN40 to save 40%! I managed to try out a few of these cool art supplies over the last couple days, and hope you've liked the looks. This look is based on the promped Blobbicure. This was my first and possibly last Blobbicure. For someone whose a fussy freehander, the lack of control with this style was nerve wracking. I blobbed my nude polish on my wet white base and allowed a long dry time. Once dry, I wasn't a big fan of the look, so I used those great nail art squeeze pens to add the golden glitter swirls. I liked this even less, and was about to get out the remover...but reached for the dotting tool and black acrylic instead. And voila, love!

I really like the final, and it's funny I was ready to quit this one. If you want to try your own easy to use squeeze art pens go to Simply Spoiled Beauty linked here. Please use my code LMN40 to save 40%!

January 21, 3 Shades of Green

***Sent for review***
I really didn't know what to do for today's 3 shades of green prompt so I winged it with this gradient...dotticure...floral look. Phew. I used a Sinful Colors white for my base and the rest is acrylic paints. Once all this was dry, it really needed a little something. So I top coated and added this large white bow. Which was perfect! These bows were also sent to me by Simply Spoiled Beauty linked here. Please use my code LMN40 to save 40%!

I'm really happy with the old fashioned quality of the large rose. It's very pretty...and somewhat cabbagie...(that's a word right!). Don't forget you can find these bows at Simply Spoiled Beauty linked here. Please use my code LMN40 to save 40%!

January 20, Rainbow

***Sent for review***
This look for today's Rainbow prompt was created with this amazing kit from Simply Spoiled Beauty linked here. Please use my code LMN40 to save 40%! I was sent this art squeeze pens kit for honest review and wasn't sure how they would work. I also recieved the nail art marker and bows shown below and will be showing you those soon as well.

As soon as these were unwrapped, I knew I had to turn them into my Rainbow nails. Simple to use and super vibrant. I simply squiggled about three lines of each colour then moved on to the next with a slight overlap. Then I recreated the same effect on each nail. Even Mr. Lady Maid liked these.
I waited about ten minutes for this to dry out of fear of streaking, but they appeared dry sooner.

I hope you like these as much as I did, and don't forget to check out these easy to use nail pens and other art supplies here at Simply Spoiled Beauty linked here.

January 19, Fire Prompt

THIS is my mani for the Fire prompt...I don't know what happened, I may have lost my mind! I thhink all the Alice in Wonderland manis made me mad! Mad I tell you! The prompt for today is fire, but I also had a reader request Strawberries...what to do...but flaming strawberries of course! The base on this is Sally Hansen Berry Juicy and the rest of the insanity was completed in acrylic paint! I got some new neon acrylics I'm excited about! Also, more Wax That from Cult Nails in the second picture, cause I am an addict!

Don't know what else to say about these, but would love to hear if you like or hate them!

Cheers all,

January 18, Artwork

So, I love to creep around on Deviant Art whenever I get the chance. When today's post said artwork, that's exactly where I headed. This artist was new to me, but I loved a ton of his pieces and this one linked here really stood out. The piece is called Goddess of Life and Death by Jakehawn.

Difficulty: Medium
Time: 27 Minutes

This has been sitting prepped for a few days, and I couldn't wait to get it up!

Cheers all,
