Mrs. P's Nail Potions, Partridge In A Pear Tree Nail Art

I'm really thrilled with how these came together my lady friends! The prompt on this mani is the ever classic Twelve Days of Christmas, and I hope you can tell this is a Partridge in a Pear Tree. I chose to do these over Pea-cocky from Mrs. P's Nail Potions, and I'm glad I did. This polish really complimented the art. My pear, Partridge and branches were all done in acrylics and sealed with Seche.

I don't think I've ever been so sad to remove a mani. Hope everyone is enjoying the challenge as much as I am.

Mrs. P's Nail Potions, Pea-cocky Swatch

This my lovies is Pea-cocky from Mrs. P's Nail Potions. This is a rockin thermal in both temperatures, both teal and a kind of luscious platinum. This is two coats, but I think next time I'd use a third for truer opacity. The formula was incredibly amazing for a densely packed glitter polish too.

My hands were so cold this morning, I literally took my hands straight out of a hot water cup for this second shot. I plan on re-swatching for transition soon, cause later in the day when I was warmer...WOW!

Snow Nail Art

What's up Holiday Art lovers? This is a look for the prompt Ice Blue and White for today. I wanted a muted snowy landscape with those pastel trees. After that I winged the rest. My sons have this Thumpers First Snowfall book, and the art was inspired by that. The holly plant and Cardinal are much cuter in the book, but I just had to try. All my details are acrylic over Paper Mâché from Finger Paints. I also Topped with an LA Colors Glitter for the falling snow look.

Santa Nail Art

This is my another mad combo for all my challenges. The prompts for this one were Red and Gold, Chevron and Santa. I managed once again to combine these ideas into a cohesive mani. The Base is Essie Trombone topped with Color Club Snow-flakes. I stamped with Essie Penny Talk. My details for Santa and the holly are all acrylic.

I quick note, I was having a bad stamping day even after a few attempts. Once I got it close, I added in the holly to cover any bad areas...voila...happy mistake!

Pipe Dream Polish, Empyrean, Snowman Nail Art

This lil doozie is a design inspired by Deanne29 on Instagram. I love her page, and have tons of her stuff in my inspiration folder. For this look I used Empyrean Pipe Dream Polish on my snowflake fingers. This was two easy coats with Bundle Monster snowflakes stamped on top with Konad a White 

My Snowmen were created on two coats of Sinful Colors Paper Mache with mostly acrylic paints, but I also used Essie Penny Talk to accent the scarf. 

Aren't these lil men just so happy and smiley?

Smile Sciences Review

I was recently sent this teeth whitening kit by Smile Sciences linked here for review. As someone who already whitens, and was due for a touch up this came as a welcome opportunity. My previous experience was with a very similar and pretty expensive kit available through my dentists office. Let me  start off by saying this kit is a huge value in comparison $29 for my readers with code ladymaidnails vs the approximate $200 I payed for my old one, and this blew my old kit out of the water.

Here is what you will find in your kit. The molding trays for top and bottom, the on the go whitening pen, the syringe with whitening material for use with the trays, the booster LED light and the instruction booklet.

So pardon the lack of sunshine here in Canada for these photos, but I wanted to show you where I began.

Using this handy colour guide that is included in the kit, I placed myself at a starting shade of 6. My lower teeth were about two shades darker.

Below you will see me using the LED light...just had to show you!

After the first use I immediately saw a change. The two photos to follow are at my midpoint during treatment. I have used the trays and light three times and the on the go pen once. I can already see huge progress after these treatments and was very happy with the ease of use and instructions for this kit.

At this point I have used the kit five times and the pen just the once for a touch up when I was away. The biggest...HUGE benefit to this kit, is the lack of sensitivity I have had since I began. My previous kit made my sensitive teeth extremely sore and I had to slow my treatment. To date I have suffered none of this.

My only knock on this kit is that the material has a bitter taste, but so did my old kit and it wasn't overpowering. Final thoughts, this kit does an amazing job whitening and I had no issues using this kit. I would recommend this to anyone. KBShimmer Sugar Plum Faerie, Christmas Tree Nail Art

Hello all my baby cakes! Today another Christmas look. This one hits a dark green prompt, as well as Christmas Trees. This is two coats of Sugar Plum Faerie from KBShimmer, and my trees are inspired by the awesomesauseness @deanne29 on Instagram. The accent finger base is Twiggie from Color Club, and the art is all acrylic and created with a dotter and detail brush.

Hope everyone is getting into the holiday spirit, and if not...you go right ahead and get your Grinch on. We all have those years too.
