Ruby White Tips The Alien, With Freehand Design
You will recognize the art in this one from yesterday's freehand post. Yesterday's look was great practice, but not really wearable. I replaced the first two fingers on this one with a gifted polish from Ruby White Tips. The Alien! Big Shocker, it's fabulous!
This is two coats of a The Alien with quick dry on top. I have a more in depth review on this coming next week as I've already worn this one with a Valentine look. I love it and keep grabbing for it!
If you love it too, head on over to Etsy Here for this one and other wonders!
Just thought I'd show you what I'm wearing today.
Cheers all,
Freehand Friday, Children's Book
I'm very happy to say welcome back Freehand Fridays! Ashley and I are back at it this week, and here's what we have been working on.
Ashley chose this cute look from this children's book, Be Kind Be Sweet, Be Nice To Everyone You Meet! With all the drama lately in the nail community, girls...just be calm and paint your nails!
Anyway, for the next couple Fridays we plan on drawing our inspiration from children's books and characters. So Voila!
I used White On as my white base and my go to yellow in NYC Lexington Yellow. With a little less time on my hands for this one I did use all acrylic paint for the rest. I do have to say, I'm not ashamed when I use acrylics. I do art with both, and for me I like the option of the different effects you can achieve and the speed it allows. Try it out for yourself, it's really a great way to start out freehand. When my topper was dry I mattified the whole look and liked it much more that way!
Please follow this Link over to Ashley's version, it's gorgeous...she definitely got me beat!

Lacquer Lust Split Personality With Freehand
This base polish was something a little different. A little different because it was a heat reactive thermal! The formula was great. The base was two easy coats, and I loved the colour...both ways! Hot is a royal blue and cold is a dark and rich purple.
Above is hot, below is cold.
My nail art for this was inspired by Radi K (Link), a really talented blogger I follow for her freehand work. This art was created with black, white and lilac acrylic paints and a detail brush.
And to finish off, one more transition bottle shot!

Birthday Nails, from the Vault!
This is a post I've wanted to do for a while. This is birthday themed art from my very first blog post!!! I launched my blog this past August 23 for my birthday present to myself. I chose birthday themed nail art for this as it seemed fitting on both counts! Here is the Link to the original post if you would like colours and details.
I was inspired to finally repost this one by this weeks theme in the Facebook group I mentioned before and our casual once a week challenge. This week was birthdays, so there was no way I would pass up the opportunity...even if it's not a brand new post.

Valentines Roses Nail Art
Base for these was a loaner, and it's a a Color Club I had never seen before. It's called Cosmic a Fate and is a coral holo! Holla! It's amazing for flare and colour. The first few pics are two coats with topper before the nail art.
Below is the art. I wanted a vintage Victorian wallpaper look. If you google that, you'll be shocked at all the gorgeous results you get. Sooooo many great ideas!
I used tons of polishes for this. I just kept adding tiny c shaped swirls in reds and yellows till I liked it. The same with the leaves. I layered shades of green until I liked the look. And as always, quick dry adds shine and just seems to improve the look of your art.
