Laquerlicious Strawberry Cosmo, Nail Stamping

So this one I've been waiting to show you forever! I've been wanting to showcase Strawberry Cosmo by Laquerlicious. This was one of the two I purchased a while back as my very first Indies I purchased myself along with Burnt Marshmallow. So this one has a special place in my heart. I have plans to swatch this one fully for you shortly too, but I felt like stamping with this lovely as accent.

Formula on Strawberry Cosmo is pretty easy this is two coats with only a little wiggling on the first.
For the Stamping, I used Julep Janel as my base in two coats and the plate was from a set my good friends parents picked up in China. These have no name, but the image was A-25. The white is Konad White. I felt these Janel and Cosmo really worked well together.

 In case your wondering, I've also started playing around again with different styles, collages and pieces of the blog and how I present things to you. I'd love some feedback below in comments if you have the time.

The depth on Strawberry Cosmo is simply stunning in person. It's sparkly and lush and juicy...shall I go on?

My Animal Print Nimbus Nail Art

So these are an attempt at the undersea animal prints that many of you have been doing. I chose a Spotted Nudibranch Sea Slug from this link. He's cool and I love me some monochrome. I want to use this page again, there was lots of inspiration on it.

I decided my best bet was to try out the nimbus technique again. This link will take you over to a great tutorial at The Nailasaurus. She's got this down!

My greige base is OPI City Shopper. The spots were done with watered down acrylic black paint, and a cotton swab. The tutorial says acetone, but I wanted to try acrylic and water. I'm not sure I like the outcome, but wanted to try this out to see if it was an option. You decide, I'm on the fence.

Also as a bonus animal print, I did my friend Rachel's nails again. This was her birthday mani. She says my hand photography makes her look like an old woman...So 'happy birthday Rachel you old fart!'

The base is Ciate in Pepperminty, the purple is Pure Ice in No Means No, and the black China Glaze Liquid Leather. The glitter is an Indie mini gifted to me and I loved it. Its 27 Polish in Fake ID. Hope you liked these, myself I liked Rachel's better.

Ciate Pepperminty with Stamping

I was gifted some great polishes by my Naily Godmother for Christmas and this Ciate Paint Pots Pepperminty was one of the ones I was lucky to receive. 

I've been meaning to practice striping, so I tried out a striped accent finger with a border. The black is China Glaze liquid leather and I used a detail brush to fill in the outline.

This one was in sunlight. 

After the striping mani was dry I removed the accent so I could try a second look. This gradient was created by sponging on some NYX Fierce Purple and I then stamped over with Bundle Monster plate BM-319. Afterwards a coat of China a Glaze Fairy Dust evened everything out. 

This was very soft and pretty and I even wore it for three days!

This one was in sunlight.

Pretty and Distressed! Darling Diva Polish

This is my very first distressed mani, and I chose to do a girly one. This started off as a swatch of Darling Diva Polish Soft Kitty. This is two coats over one coat of Essie Vanity Fairest as undies to give this slightly more opacity, without going all the way.

As you can see, this ones loveliness will freak out your camera!!
 

This polish was so pretty on and the formula was great. I imagine this over white or any pink would be lovely. 

I wore this alone overnight, but then decided to try it as a base for a distressed mani. You can only see hexes peeking through here and there, but it did add a little interest.

On this I dragged an unnamed metallic berry colour, China Glaze Pink Voltage and Sally Hansen Silver Sweep. 

That's it! Fun and Easy, and would be great with stamping over top!!

Laquerlicious Stroke of Midnight Gradient

This is a simple one I did for a girls night out. I was craving something monochromatic. The base is two coats of Sally Hansen Greige Gardens, which is one of my personal favorite grey shades. After that I carefully splodged on Laquerlicious Stroke of Midnight on the tips and added my KB Shimmer Quick Dry. The End. Very pretty and simple!

Happy New Years My Lovely Ladies!

This is just a quick post for New Years. This is my manicure for tonight, it's also my first time doing glitter placement like this.

China Glaze Diva Bride is my base, for stamping I used Quo By Orly Magnetic Attraction and the plate is BM-H14 from the Bundle Monster Holiday Collection. The Glitter is from OPI I Snow You Love Me.

Current Nail Care

I know we all wonder what others are using to promote stronger, longer and healthier nails and what works for others. Well I decided to show you all what's currently working for me.

This is a glass file I use for shaping and I picked this up at my grocery store as well.

These are the two cuticle creams I use right now. I use these morning and evening, as well as when I'm washing frequently. Lemony Flutter and Burt's Bees Cuticle Balm.

 These are my current lotions. I find with moisturizers you need to use what works for you and change it up frequently. The Macadamia oil one is from Sally, and the other is just a cheap glycerin based one from my grocery store. Glycerin has really made a difference in the dryness of my hands with the weather change here in Ontario.

I bought this nail hardener from Sally Hansen and it really has made a huge difference in the strength of my nails. Before they were always peeling and grew very little. Now I've grown off most of the old damage and am be to get some length.

Lastly is my current cuticle clean up brush. This one has been fab for getting the area around my cuticles to have that clean line. This was just a lip liner brush from the dollar store.
