Born Pretty Nail Stamping, Nature and Graffiti

BP-L026 is another plate available at the Born Pretty Store linked here. These two coordinating images are both from the same plate, a very nature themed one. I was feeling like a mix of grungy distress/nature. I'm really liking how obscure and interesting this looked. The mix of the grungy distressed hot pink from Color Club with the delicate leaf patterns was fun.

You should check out this plate BP-L026 and their others at the Born Pretty Store linked here. I'm still really impressed with the quality. If you do check it out, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!

I have a one more plates to spotlight for you coming up as well as the a second look from this plate and a review of that super fine detail brush!

Born Pretty Nail Stamping

Just look at this fun pattern from from BP-L013 on Essence Dark Night Starlight, available at the Born Pretty Store linked here. This image is from another plate I was sent from Born Pretty Store recently, and might be one of my fave images ever. I can picture these waves on gradients and holos and indies of all sorts. This plate was full nail images and fabulously cute pattern like hearts, rocking horses and rain drops. This purple shimmer polish looked really cool highlighted by those waves. My Konad White is starting to dry out, so I covered any image gaps with these tiny teal acrylic paint flowers.

This was totally adorable in person. and would have been cute matte as well. You should check out this plate BP-L013 and their others at the Born Pretty Store linked here. I was really impressed with the quality. If you do, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!

Whatever Nail Art, Born Pretty Nail Stamping

I just received a number of fabulous large size rectangular stamping plates from Born Pretty Store and had to dive right in for a review. The first plate I reached for was BP-L021 available at the Born Pretty Store linked here. This plate is edgy and has a punk feel, so I paired it with China Glaze Liquid Leather and stamped with Konad White. I loved how punky this turned out and how well the images stamped. The wavy image smeared a little when I was slightly heavy handed with my matte coat, but otherwise this was an exceptionally fun mani to wear.

I could see myself reusing all of these images as well as the rest of the plate. You should check out this plate BP-L021 and their others at the Born Pretty Store linked here. I was really impressed with the quality. If you do, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!

Digital Dozen Does Whimsy Week, Day 5, Butterflies

So this butterflies look is late, but it's also my favourite of Whimsy week. I'm also posting this on an anniversary day away with my husband! We've been married ten years as of this month and been dating for twenty! Anyway, this look I feel was my most whimsical. The base on this is My Boyfriend Scales Walls and the background was created using neon acrylic paints. As I'm currently away, I don't have the plate names, but will update them once I'm back.

Thanks for following along this week! Check out all my ladies final Whimsy looks below!

Digital Dozen Does Whimsy Week, Day 2. Pop Art Water Decal

As humor is one of the defining words of Whimsy I wanted to do something Pop Art. I received a bunch of water decals last week from Lady Queen Beauty linked here. When I saw these in the package, I knew they would be perfect for Whimsy Week! I have a thing about Pop Art, it's so...well...whimsical and modern. The base polish on this look is Sally Hansen Mouselline and the dots are acrylic paint. These water decals were absolutely the best I've worked with. They are super thin and form right to the nail easily unlike others. My coupon code is ELLC15 for these or anything else from the site. I totally recommend these and have two more looks coming up.

I loved this look so much and you really should check the decals out from Lady Queen Beauty linked here.

Digital Dozen Does Whimsy, Day 4 Gel Polish Nail Art

This look is actually my least favourite of the week. This is an all gel polish creation except for the stamping. I was going for a Harley Quinn mix and match, but I'm not sure I achieved it and it kind of looked like a 'forced' mix in person. Of course as it was gel, I was also forced to wear it over a week!

Ces't la vie! That's life! Tomorrows look is pretty terrific, so...moving on!

Cheers all,

Digital Dozen Does Whimzy Week, Day 3 Tropical Floral Mix and Match

Okay, I've gotten sidetracked by life this week and fallen off on yesterday's post so here it is! I'll have day four up shortly as well, and my fave is day five tomorrow. The tropical floral design for this was a quick and easy one created with all acrylic paints. I found the dots and flower mix whimsical in keeping with today's theme, but this glitter polish was what inspired this look. I find the mix on this one so unique, it just screamed whimsy.

I found this look totally off beat and fun, full of design elements and colours I might not ordinarily mix! Perfect for Digital Dozen Whimsy Week. Check out my girls below, and I'll check back soon.

Cheers all,

Digital Dozen Does Whimsy Week, Day 1 Lollipop Floral

My friend Google says Whimsy is, playfully quaint or fanciful behavior or humor. With that said, what to do but mish mash flowers and girly colours in an abstract way to get me warmed up to this theme! For the base on this I used Orly Lollipop and then just went wild in my plate stash choosing images. I really liked the final, especially matte.

I find this look both playful and quaint, so I guess it is a success.

Nail Wise Nail File Review

I was just sent these cute and fantastic new product for review called Finger Files. These are a brand new technology available from File Wise Nail File linked here, which is an Indie file producer. These files come in adorable girly patterns as seen below, but it's the shape and size that makes them special. The size makes them perfect for even the smallest purse or travel and it also creates less waste. I also think these would be great for nail techs to use for clients.

The finger dips shown below allow you to grasp these comfortably and securely while filing, and I found them much easier to use then standard length files. If your wondering if I would recommend these over glass for you glass fille addicts, I personally always use both. I use standard cardboard files for taking length and shaping sides and only use glass for finishing the edges to prevent roughness.

I would totally recommend these files and you guys can find them over at the File Wise website linked here. I've personally stocked my purse and car with these babies!

Cheers all,
