31 Day. Day 24, Inspired by a Book
This look is for the prompt Inspired by a book. I chose the book series Scaredy Squirrel. These are Canadian children's books and the main character is super cute. If you want to check out the series, it's linked here.
The base on this is Twiggie from Color Club and the leaves stamping is an image from BM-S026.
I freehanded the acorns and my little squirrel.
Hope you like this one, it's one of my faves!

Ok, I'm warming up now and actually enjoyed this negative space look. The holo gradient was Color Club Cloud Nine, and I stamped using BM-S104. A coat of Seche and that's it!
Easy Peasy and a little bit glam!

Mrs. P's Nail Potions Nail Art, Disappearing Pumpkin Trick - Limited Edition Thermals
Monochromatic Roses on Mrs. P's Potions Disappearing Pumpkin Trick up today. I created this look strictly in acrylic on the polish and topped in Seche. I really loved this one in person and wore it for about for days!
It's hard to tell in the picture, but these black and white roses tights are what inspired this look. As of writing this post on the day of it going live, this limited edition stunner is still available linked here.

Lady Queen Beauty Review, Cute Knuckle Rings
Today I created a cool and spacey stamping/dotting combo for you to complement a set of cute space knuckle rings I was sent from Lady Queen Beauty for review.
For the mani, I used two coats of PT Young Thing as my base and topped it with Seche. Just look at the fire on this holo, even under stamping and two coats of topcoat. I added the royal blue dots with one of my smaller dotting tools using acrylic paint before adding the Bundle Monster image in Konad White and then again in Konad Black.
I was hoping the rings available in the shop linked here would be cute with this look, and I wasn't disappointed. I would recommend these rings for nail photos, or just for fashion. They are fun and a good value. I also still have a discount code of ELLC15 for you guys to use.
These ring all come together in a three pack and are super cute.
At the time I'm writing this post, this set is also on sale and super cheap! You can check out Lady Queen's full ring selection in the page linked here, and don't forget the discount code ELLC15 for you guys to use.

Wiki Nail Challenge, Tesla Nail Art
SO today I'm jumping back into the A2Z Challenge with the girls, but we have a twist! The girls decided to change it up for a while and use Wikipedia random ideas to generate our challenge prompts. Neat idea...and challenging too.
My first prompt is a gentleman named Nikola Tesla over at Wikipedia linked here. He was an inventor who worked in electricity and had some pretty way out there ideas about society. I used Bm-305 for my double stamped lightning bolts on a base of Glam Polish Don't Make me Blush.I figured I'd go with bolts of lightning as I've done an Electricity Ball nail design in the past.
(I just love the sunshine floral shots you can get in summer!)
This last macro is of my fave finger. The double stamped lightning turned out pretty cool.

Q is for Quirky, Distressed Stamping
Q is for Quirky is today's A2Z prompt. This look is actually a Digital Dozen Pattern on Pattern that I regelated, but thought would be perfect for 'Quirky'. This is once again the technique where I stamp and then use tape to distress sections of the image. I repeated the process in three separate stamping layers then applied top coat. The base for this is two coats of a holo silver from Gosh.
Hope you likey! Kind of looks like Graffiti.

Polished Bookworms, Big Little Lies
This is my mani for a book and nail club I joined on Facebook linked here if you are interested in joining. Our first book was Big Little Lies By Liane Moriarty. The idea is we voted in a book for each month, we then discuss and create a mani from the imagery of the story.
I created these hilarious Darth Vader nails after a scene where a therapist mentioned that a child in the story named Ziggy thinks his real father is Darth Vader. I thought this was funny, and the idea stuck in my head for the mani.
I used China Glaze Liquid Leather for my black base and Above The Curve Don't Blink for my Vader nail. The words and cartoon like Vader were created with acrylic and the designs with a Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in Silver.
This was a good practice for my lettering, but I'm still in need of much more practice. Apologies for the direct sunlight, I was trying to get the holo, but even after edits these were a little bright!

Colors By Llarowe, Oops, Dotticure
This is an abstract dotting line look I picked up from @wondrouslypolished on Instagram.her look was a fall colours pallet. For mine I went a little more girly using two coats of Oops from Colors By Llarowe. The dotting was done with a small dotter in medium grey and black acrylic paint.

Colors By Llarowe, Oops Swatch
Another Colors By Llarowe holo for you today. I kind of think this one is like Shimmering Waters little sister. It's the exact match to Shimmering waters holo blue with the occasional hex glitter but in pink. These would probably make an amazing gradient together...hmmmmm. Anyway, this is Oops and it's two coats of perfection.

Colors By Llarowe, Shimmering Waters with Bundle Monster Stamping
Ok, I did these Bundle Monster snowflakes over two coats of Colors By Llarowe Shimmering Waters a few days ago when I heard Ontario is supposed to get its first snow of the year this week. I have been saving this until I see those first flakes. I really love snow and the excitement of how beautiful it is when it starts...you know, before the reality of it hits. And as I look outside, nows the time.
So this look is for all of you who love snow, or wish they had it.

KBShimmer Whole Lava Lovin, Stamping and September Challenges
So for whatever reason, September is everyone has a challenge month! I have a busy month with family obligations, but you know I can't resist the urge to at least drop in and out of these. So for day one of both Chalkboard Nails 31 day challenge #31dc2014 and another called the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge hosted by a number of bloggers including Wondrously Polished #31dc2. I'm hoping it's not bad form to tag into both. Anywho, on to the Red prompt mani. This lovely rich holo is KBShimmer Whole Lava Lovin.

OMD2, 20. Chevron
These are my a Entry for the Chevron prompt. I'm a little behind on my prompts right now, but I had a great weekend with my family so it was worth it! This lovely grey holo is two coats of Above a the Curve Don't Blink, and the purple Above The Curve Pretend It's A Plan. The chevrons I masked off with Green Goddesss Creations Nail Masks. I then used black and white acrylic for the remaining details.
I really liked these and as usual my pot lights made the holo...fantastic! Tune into tomorrow, as I play catch up.

OMD2, 7. Holographic
This is the holographic entry for OMD2. How's everyone enjoying my entries so far? I actually passed this one, because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. I caught back up today with this little holo and cream nail art. I went for monochromatic grey roses as a frame over this stunner from KBShimmer. This is two coats of Whole Lava Lovin as my base. The two greys I used were Sally Hansen Greige Gardens and OPI City Shopper. After the art was done I added the studs to complete the look. The combo is roughly inspired by a look from @donebydes on Instagram.
As always with a holo, kitchen potlights prevail for flashy flashy flare pics! Hope everyone is well.
Cheers all,
