Digital Dozen Getting To Know Me, Hot Pink Nail Stamping

Today's look for Digital Dozen Does Getting To Know Me week is a hot pink double stamp. I used an unnamed hot pink from Color Club for my pink base, and I also tried it out for stamping. It stamped well, but look how different the colour is on a white base. My white is Sally Hansen lll and the images are lll and lll.

For today's getting to know me points, I thought I'd share my hobbies. I love swimming and watching movies...a lot of movies! I try and work out very regularly too, because I also love to eat!

I matted this one and just love love loved it!

KBShimmer, Witch Way and Bundle Monster Stamping

Today's look is a simple one, but a stunner due to KBShimmer Witch Way. This amazing purple crelly/jelly glitter is really rich and and intense. This is just one coat over Fierce Purple from NYX. The Stamping is Bundle Monster BM-604 with Konad White and I dotted in a touch of pink for a little something extra.

For a glitter packed doozie, this polish was really excellent to work with.

#clairestelle8june, Flamingo Nails

So a cutie I know on IG posts a monthly challenge. You'd know her as @clairesttelle8 linked here, and the hashtag for this month's prompts is #clairestelle8june if you want to join in. Today's prompt was flamingos, and I've never tried the big pink guys. For this look I used Sally Hansen White out as base except for the yellow which is Lexington Yellow from NYC. The matte glitter polish is Amanda from Ruby White Tips...and yes it's named after me teehee for those of you that don't know. My freehand details are all acrylics except for my pinkie which is recycled from an upcoming stamping mani.

Squawk squawkity squawk! So says my bossy pink friend! Almost forgot...distracted by all the squawking...the whole thing is matte as well!

Lush Lacquer,

This was just a quick look I did to go out one night. I even forgot to post this beauty for a while. This is Lush Lacquer Ticklish Teal, a blue black jelly filled will multiple sized teal glitters. It reminds me of the reflection of stars on a lake in the evening. Very beautiful in person. I actually forget the accent polish, it might be a Ciate. The floral pattern was acrylic paint.

Have a great weekend guys.

Halloween Nail Art, Franken-Happy

Here it is, my second Halloween look, and my very first portrait...sort of! I've been scared of the precision needed for portraits but Frank here allowed for some leeway. I followed along with a Robin Moses video and used only grey, black and white acrylic for this. The base is Above the Curve Don't Blink in two coats. I'm happy with the final look, but my Frank is a little too happy!

So what do you think, spooky?

Strawberry Pop Art

So this look is kind of a recreation of another recent look I did. You might remember this mani linked here. I recently got a giant shout out from one of my favorite brands (Laquerlicious) because she loved the design. I felt inspired to recreate it again using Strawberry Cosmo from Laquerlicious. If you have followed me for awhile, you know that this polish was my very first Indie purchase. It doesn't come out often, because it's very special to me, but it has been sitting in my use soon tray so...voila!

This is two coats of Cosmo and the accents are two coats of Finger Paints Paper Mache the rest of the detail is acrylic.

Thanks for stopping by to visit this Laquerlicious show-stopper!

Orange Floral Mix for September Challenges!

Ok, so this was playtime. I haven't sat down with a blank canvas and played for a long time. I grabbed a handful of OPI and some caviar beads, and this look is where we ended up. I did these a while back, before I changed my watermark, but thought the September Challenges were a good reason to use them. Now, I I mixed some of the shades myself, but if you'd like the names let me know in the comments. These were all polish, no acrylic paint. These will be my entry for Orange in #31dc2 and #31dc2014.

Do you guys ever just practice like this?

Katy Perry Nails, This Is How We Do

These guys are just hilarious! You need to follow this link to the Katy Perry video, This is how we do. I saw it and immediately knew it had to be a mani...and yes, that ice cream cone is twerking!! For the base I used two coats of Essie Don't rock the boat and the topper is the RWT topper I told you about called Amanda. My guys were done in acrylic.

This last below is a quick Macro of Amanda over the blue...just cause I thought it was soo pretty!

Now, if you made it here without clicking the link go on back up and DO IT! Also if you follow me on Instagram linked here, head on over and check out a quick collab of these we set up to celebrate my birthday!

SURPRISE! Ruby White Tips Amanda

So I told you I had some fun and surprises for this week, and this is one of the big ones! Ruby White Tips....created a new matte glitter that's just amazing...and is named Amanda after me! That's right, my own polish! This topper contains lilac, yellow, dark pink and light blue hexes in micro and medium sizes. Some pink triangles, and butterflies also make sneak appearances, and I think the odd frosty pink square as well. I created the floral accent finger to match, and I just love love this mani and my polish.

I'm a sucker for beautiful matte glitters and this one takes the cake...the birthday/blogiversary cake! Now I'd give you links, but this is an extreme LE and there aren't many available. Sorry to be a tease, but Ruby White Tips could easily recreate this or one of your design as a custom colour.

So Cheers all, I really hope you like this surprise!

Picasso Nail Art

WHAT the what...wtf are these? These are awesome sauce wrapped in a f@&$ yeah burrito! Ok, now to put me lady pants back on. Sorry for the outburst, but these are kind of great right? I recently found thenailpicasso on Instagram linked here. Her stuff, it's just so cool and unique. This is my small try at echoing her work. You need to check her out...run...after you finish my post of course.

Here's what I used:
China Glaze Pink Voltage
Color Club Twiggie
Sinful Colors Endless Blue
Black and white acrylic paint
And here's the key to this, all I did was doodle till I got to that tipping point where if I didn't stop I'd ruin it. It's a fine line I know, but it was worth it. Grab your favorite colours and just dive in. This took about an hour FYI, just so you know.

I'm done patting myself on the back now, hope you guys all think these are pretty cool too.

OMD2, 12. 3D

This is my 3D prompt from back on day 12 that I didn't get to till now.

This my sweets is three thin coats of Pink Stilettos by the genius Jindie Nails! For the dotted nails I used OPI Alpine Snow and Julep Janel for the dots. The sweet bows were sent to me as a gift, and how sweet are they!

Well that's all for this one, all caught up now on challenge posts.

OMD2, 13. Ikat

So I've only done Ikat pattern a couple times, but all darker colours. This time I went uber girlie! This is Berry Juicy from Sally Hansen and the rest was acrylic. It was one of those designs where the more I tried to 'fix' it, the worse it got. I was trying to get those chevrons as even as I could freehand...but meh! Over all though, the look is pretty cute.

Enjoy your Sunday.

OMD2, 10. Favorite Polish

This is for the prompt Favorite Polish. Well how do you tackle that...I went with favorite type, which for me is micro matte glitter in a crelly base! No one does this like Jindie, so this is three coats of Princess Bubble Gum with top coat. For the art fingers I went with girlie cupcakes. This is a coat of Alpine snow with a tweed design over top. I used a medium pink and silver polish on my fan brush to create this tweed and then added the cutey patootie decals from Green Goddess Creations linked here. Once the decals were on I used Rimmel I Lilac You to add a few dots and then top coat.

Hope you all like the look.

OMD2, 8. Shimmer

These started with two coats of the amazing and lovely Picture Polish Electric Dream, an almost hot pink with a golden shimmer. This ones a beauty, and it was actually a shame to put anything on top...but it is challenge time so here we go. For the chevron design I used a new product from Green Goddess Creations linked here. These are called Nail Masques. They are similar to vinyls, but a bit easier, as they are all one piece. You really need to check them out. As my second shimmer shade I used China Glaze Rendezvous With You, a pretty purple black shimmer. I really need to use this one more.

I used the Nail Masks to create the full chevron, and the bits left on the backing sheet for my tip nails. Reuse Recycle!

OMD2, 5. Dark

Prompt for day 5 is dark, and I was stumped. I'm not a very dark person, so I wanted to come up with a way to make 'dark' summery! This is China Glaze Liquid Leather and China Glaze Pool Party. I used a dotter for the dotted accent finger, and one of my imported no-name plates for the stamping. Both polishes are two coats, and everything is sealed with Seche.

Pool Party is completely impossible to photograph accurately, but I still love wearing it!

OMD2, 2. Coral

WABAM! Cause that was the first word that came to mind when I finished this. Funny thing, I didn't like it as I was doing it. That stunning gold is recent release Smaug's Gold from Ruby White Tips, and the coral is Sinful Colors Hazard, and the black and white are acrylic paint. This design was inspired by a couple looks I saw the other day on Instagram. Kind of a mix and match of looks.

This last photo was taken just because it's one of those designs you try NOT to look at while driving!
Don't you just love cream and metallic together!!

Cheers all,
