It's My Birthday!
It was my birthday and two year blogiversary yesterday! I picked something completely fabulous to wear for my birth-week! I couldn't decide, but knew I wanted something bright and high contrast and found this look in my genius file by Wondrously Polished. Lindsey did this look a while back and I've saved it ever since because it's such a happy look. I used an unnamed Orange neon for my base and royal blue, black and white acrylic paint for the rest. The outlines were done with my details brush, but the rest of the dots and shapes of the flowers were created with dotting tools.

Dragon Claw Polish, Holo Green Day and a Tape Mani
This one friends is Holo Green Day from Dragon Claw Polish store linked here. This is a super easy and opaque green/teal glitter that easily built to opacity in two coats. This wasn't goopy or thick in any way. Super easy and so glowing in person. A teal lovers dream! I totally recommend all the Dragon Claw Polish's. All those I've used to date are fantastic formula.
Now on to a tape mani I created with the polish. I taped off some random sections and used an opaque white polish and a teal jelly to create the gradient. This allowed the glitter to peep through the jelly near the ends.
This one was my first full tape mani, and these are not as easy say they look. So props to those of you who do these all the time.

January 6, Half and Half
So, I'm a big big fan lately of high contrast colours. So this intense blue and grey combo really speaks to me. It's also a pretty neat look that's got pop, while still being a good winter pallet. My base was the grey which is a Revlon Greige Gardesns and the blue Sinful Colors Endless Blue. I taped off the outside nails at around my mid length point, and used a medium dotting tool for the center nails.
Well, it's a crazy month for me blog wise with all the Digital Dozen and challenge stuff going on, but I'm hanging in there. Hope everyone is well.

Recycled Mani!
So you guys probably remember this Striper freehand look I posted a while back. I loved it when it was done, but thought how cool it would look with the attidition of some silver elements. With that, this recycled mani was born. I used more striping tape and added the silver polish blocked areas to my first and pinkie fingers. Then I added the rhinestone elements and played with silver foil for the first time.
Voila, do you guys ever recycle fingers or whole manis!

Pretty Bitch Polish, Nipple Clamps
Yes, you read that title right, the pretty red holo is called Nipple Clamps and is by Pretty Bitch Nail Polish. It also makes me think of my bestie...you know who you are! Anyway, the base is two coats of Essence Dark Night Starlight, which is just beautiful. I had this one for a day, and then decided to work on some striping tape practice. This is actually the most striping I've ever attempted. I added the stripes with Nipple Clamps...oy...and then freehanded the floral with a matching red, purple and black...and some more Nipple Clamps. I feel the need to LOL!
After a couple hours wear I had to try it matte. And it was definately my favourite version. I hope I didn't make anyone too uncomfortable. Teehee!

Tape Mani
Today's inspiration is once again KGRDNR of Instagram linked here. These are simply done by cutting strips of tape and placing them randomly on your white base. Then using a makeup sponge blot on some coordinating colours and remove the tape. I then added the black dots to change up my design slightly and top coat.
These could easily be changed up by changing the colours depending on the season.

China Glaze Mosaic Madness
Hello hello! Hope everyone had a great weekend. Today I have a weird one, I like and dislike it. I had this China Glaze Mosaic Madness in my untried pile for a while, and have been working my way through untrieds lately. The yellow base is one of two Frankenstein I worked on lately that I love! I've never loved the yellows in my stash, so I made this one for art. This is two coats of my yellow with a single easy coat of Mosaic Madness on the last two fingers. I wanted to use Mosaic Madness as inspiration, so I used striping tape to make the verticle stripes on the first third of those fingers. Then added the black rhinestones.
So why don't I like it? Well the blue holo kind of went greenish over the yellow, even after three coats. Oh well, I still like it...and am wearing this now on both hands! It also freaked out my camera and is added more reddish to my skin tone. This pics are still reddish...after editing!
