These were spur of the moment. I've been meaning to do this layering combo as a mani, but didn't know what to put on top. Then it hit me...holly! Once I had the base and glitter it just cried out for some holly!
The base green is Essence..., then I layered on NYX Enchanted Forest. A new purchase for the Christmas season. I'm not big into green, but this mani changed that a little.
I then went in with white acrylic for the outline and to make the lighter colours pop on such a dark base. I then layered my coloured polishes over the white and then outlined where needed in black.
The colours were;
Red - OPI Passion for Fashion
Neon Green - Midie 30
Yellow Green - Nicole By OPI Daffy Dill
Dark Green Base - Essence Walk on the wild side
Green Hex Glitter - NYX enchanted forest
Black and white acrylics
These last two are in sunlight. For some reason this green wanted to shoot greyer than it appears in real life.
Hope you are enjoying the challenge so far. I did realize after I finished these that an upcoming challenge prompt was holly...but, I couldn't save them! I had to send them out into the nailiverse as soon as possible. I love loved these!

ReplyDeleteIt was a tiny bit gloppy to work with, but worth it. I bought a similar one in a champaign colour as well.
