Digital Dozen Does Negative Space, Day 4

Today's spin on negative space is a nautical one...and also a minimal one. I had these two really great colours I wanted to use for a nautical theme manicure, and an accent nail was the perfect way to get the negative space look onboard. The gold polish is Smaug's Gold from Ruby White Tips and the blue Blue Real also RWT. The anchor is from Moyou Sailor Collection 01.

I really don't do nautical enough in summer, and very much enjoyed these on.

Cheers all,

Would you like a wood design?

So for today we went a little rustic. This look was inspired by lieve91 on Instagram linked here. The base brown is China Glaze Ingrid, although once I fanned brushed on all the other brown shades, it's really just an earthy mishmash. After I created my wood background, I used acrylic to freehand the half finger tribal accent. I love it, and totally forgot how long tribal designs take me. The inspiration design called for gold studs, but I wanted to wear this for the weekend and studs don't last on me. I added dotting in a China Glaze gold instead.

Head on over the Instagram to check out the source look and to see who I Twinsied these with!

Cheers all,

Two looks, One Accent Nail and Polish Addict Nail Color Rainbow Concrete

This is Rainbow Concrete from Polish Addict Nail Color. This polish is a medium tone grey with a lovely shimmer and a myriad of shapes, sizes and colours of glitter. I really liked this polish, and wanted to dig out my fan brush for the pinky finger accent. The pinky is a mix of duochromes in a kind of angled tweed look. This was easy to build up doing angled strokes in two colours and black added last. For the ring finger I used Greige Gardens by Revlon...my fave medium grey in two coats followed by the rhinestones. Eh voila!

Below is two coats of a Mari Moon I borrowed from a friend, and as with the other I showed before the name on the label has actually worn away. But whatever... Let's go with B-eautiful!

I really liked this simple accent nail, so taking the opportunity to try the second look was fun.

Cheers all,
