Born Pretty Review, Tri Colour Gel Polish

Today's look is an amazing Gel Polish I was sent for review.

This was my first ever try of a Thermal Gel. I now can't wait to try out the other two colours from this line that I was sent. The colour change on these is so extreme and lovely. The formula is a little thick, but still totally manageable. I would totally recommend this to you guys. It's just lovely.

All in all, the Gel Polish from Born Pretty Store linked here performed perfectly, and is a beauty to wear. If you'd like to try out the polish, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!

Born Pretty Store Review, Black Gel Pot

This look was created with a really cool product I received from Born Pretty Store.
Black Pantyhose linked here.  This gel polish is a sheer black gel pot polish. I applied base coat followed by one coat of Black Pantyhose. I then dotted my dots with blaco acrylic paint and added one more coat of gel and sealing it with gel top coat.

My swamp dotticure turned out amazing. This gel was really great to work with and lasted forever on the nail. I used a cleanup brush to apply the polish and cured it as usual under my LED lamp. I totally recommend trying these cool gel pots.

I loved the sheer and interesting look you can create with this gel. I'd love to try some black stamping soon. If you'd like to try out the polish, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!

Digital Dozens Does Birthdays, Pink!

Today's look is for Digital Dozen Does Birthday's! We are celebrating Amy Lee Platt's birthday today and her image selection was Pink...pink anything! I used a base of Orly Gel Effects Hot Shots, a hot pink/red gel polish and stamped it with a mix of Color Club and Essie pinks and sealed it with Seche. Not all the colours showed on the Orly, but it still created a neat snakeskin like effect. My image was from Lina Make Your Mark 03.

Digital Dozen Does Colour Contrast, Thursday

In case you're wondering why I'm jumping in mid week for Digital Dozen Does Colour Contrast week, it's because I started a new job on Monday, and have been growing out and healing a severe break/cut on my ring finger.

Today's look is a bit of a cheat using black as my contrast on this purple Gelaze Spontaneous. This was a conscious decision though, because there's nothing I like to wear more than a crisp black or white on a more subtle colour. For the look, I did two coats of the purple gel and added a black French gel tip. Once cured, I stamped in regular black polish and sealed in gel top coat.

I liked this look, and actually received a ton of compliments considering it wasn't overly complicated.  Don't forget to check out the looks the girls have been working on in the Inlinkz below.

Digital Dozen Does Fashion, Day 4.

So, I recently went on a romantic getaway with the hubs to Niagara On The Lake and these were the gel nails I wore on the trip. I wanted something kinda fun/sophisticated and I came up with this easy design. When I was web surfing ideas I discovered a phenomenon! Taylor Swift wears a TON of red stripes! I don't know if this is a well known phenomenon as I don't follow her fashion, but once I figured it out I searched it and it's super obvious! Take a look at this search linked here, hilarious! For the look I used Gelaze Liquid Leatger and the red is Gelish Red Roses. The image is Moyou Holy Shapes Collection 02.

Once this cute look was done, I knew I had to save this for fashion week. Taylor Swift stripe fashion conspiracy cracked wide open, and you read it here first!!!

Born Pretty Stamping Plates

So this look turned out about as summery as you can get. I used China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy Gel Polish in two coats and then stamped the feathers from BM-75 sent to me recently from Bundle Monster available linked here. I then sealed the whole thing with Gellish Topcoat.

Bundle Monster nail stamping plates are available linked here. If you do check them out, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!

Digital Dozen Does Whimsy, Day 4 Gel Polish Nail Art

This look is actually my least favourite of the week. This is an all gel polish creation except for the stamping. I was going for a Harley Quinn mix and match, but I'm not sure I achieved it and it kind of looked like a 'forced' mix in person. Of course as it was gel, I was also forced to wear it over a week!

Ces't la vie! That's life! Tomorrows look is pretty terrific, so...moving on!

OMD3. Day 1, Teal. My baby is 4!

So a little while back I came up with this cute Gel Polish look to wear to celebrate my lil ones fourth Birthday. I used Gelish Radiance Is My Middle Name and Gelish Izzy Wizzy, Let's Get Busy for this and created my lil four as a decal on wax paper. Then I sealed the four under a coat of Gelish Topcoat. My pinkie stamping was created using Konad White and a plate I borrowed from a friend. I think it was a Pueen, but forgot to note it. I also sealed the stamping below the gel topcoat.

I loved this look inspired by my babes and today's OMD3 Day 1 Teal prompt was the perfect opportunity to showcase these.

Orly Hot Shot, Gel Polish with Stamping

This look was eye catching in person...and also less imperfect at a distance. This is Hot Shot from Orly's Gel Polish line up and my new go to for summer pedicures. As you may or may not have noticed, this mani is a lot shorter than my last post. I growing out a break, so I took my length down and did this gel mani to get me through a weekend away without doing further damage. This image is from Moyou and stamped in Konad white and matted.

Hope you all are having a great week, and I had a great trip away in case your wondering.

Cheers all,
