Jindie Nails, Stamping Decals

52 Week Challenge for today is Not Worn Enough. If you guys like a simply perfect lovely crelly glitter, Jindie Refresh to Death is it. This polish and its brand are both hands down one of my favourites. Now as you can tell if you look close, I'm still working on my decals...and not over stretching them or smooshing them...or over drying. It's really a delicate business. Anyway I stamped with Konad White and dotted on a purple that coordinated with the glitters well. Stretch marks aside, I love the pinky and how I rotated the image.

I just have to leave you with a macro of the star of the show. Jindie Refresh to Death. I might post the polish only look soon as a bonus because I'm not as thrilled with it once the decals went on and I have the pictures.

#naillinkup Chevron Nails, Butterfly Nail Decals

Looking good today for Chevron prompt for #naillinkup!! I'm pretty excited with how this decal look turned out. A little more respectable than the last two. I topped Sally Hansen Crystal Beading over a gradient of Color Club Twiggie
and Rimmel I Lilac You. The butterfly's are from BM-306 and BM-303. On my pointer and pinkie I stamped on some chevrons and added freehand roses.

I've wanted to post this since I did it, but had to wait until today...Kinda like Christmas!

A2Z, T is for Texture

This prompt is T is for Texture, for A2Z linked here.I chose simple stamping over texture polish because I've never actually done it before. This is two coats of Nicole by OPI That's What I Mint, stamped with Konad black.

I matted for the last two shots so we could just admire the glow without the distraction of the texture. The liquid sands really do just glow!

Stained Glass Nails Fail, 52 Week Challenge

These are technically a fail. I was trying all Sunday afternoon to create a stamping decal in a glitter flower design is to go over this background. I repeatedly wrecked them. Too impatient I guess. I decided to give up and used Sally Holiday Glitter in red to drag on a little punch and sparkle and I gave up.
I used images;
BM-315
BM-323
and Klean Color Concrete Grey as my base. So, even these are a complete fail for the Stain Glass and Mosaic prompt for today's 52 Week Challenge I actually love them. I guess they are sort of still Mosai-ish!

I went on to matte them for the last two pictures and the ai lied the subtle double stamping even more! It's a shame it didn't turn out. I've been seeing lots of the stained glass style stamping lately. I really liked these though, so lose/win!

Twinsies, Lacquered Mama, Monocube

So this is a fun graphic look inspired by an Image I found online during a Google search for inspiration...do you guys do that, or is it just me? Anyway, I loved the idea of being forced to practice this many lines. The bas is Sally Hansen White Out and all the details are really watery black acrylic paint. I've been craving twinsies again lately and checked with my partner in nail crime Lacquered Mama  linked here.

For whatever reason the word Monocube came to mind while doing this. I hope you like our Monocube designs!

Stamping Decal, Ruby White Tips

Ok my sweets, I've become addicted to stamping decals in the last few days. I'm still figuring out all the tricks and troubles, but I'll give you the tips as I go.

Tip 1. I learned on these to not let your decal dry overnight...it was either that or don't use quick dry topcoat. Either way, these dried out far too much and were difficult to work with.

If I'm honest, in person these did not look great at all...hot mess anyone! However, this was one of those magical times when the photos didn't show my issues at all. I was happy, cause the look is really great. I used;

Ruby White Tips Smaug's Gold
China Glaze Liquid Leather
Ruby White Tips Prototype (red)
Circle Studs
BM-423 Triangle Design
BM-307 Purse Design

Hope you like! I have two more decal looks coming up shortly.

Solar Eclipse Nails, #tncnailedit

In honour of the Solar Eclipse a few of us decided to commemorate the occasion with Solar Eclipses nails. I had basically no idea what to do so I dug into my stamping plates. I felt like anything freehand might just look like a giant black dot. Not very creative huh! Anyway, I found this plate and to me the image looks like a double eclipse or the sun about to be covered by the moon. I used Nicole By OPI Back to Reality TV for the base it was the perfect dusky blue I wanted to achieve. I used Konad Black for the stamping, and then double stamped carefully with Silver to add a glow.

Some of the girls who jumped into #tncnailedit today were very creative. I did overall like this look and am still rocking it.

A2Z, S is for Silver

This is a look I created a little while ago for a weekend away in Niagara Falls wine country. This is two coats of Cashmere Bathrobe from Essie and an unnamed silver that I use for stamping. This maze like design fits the Silver Prompt for today, but if you can tell by my photos, freaked out my camera just a smidge!

This last picture was our last wine tour stop. It was a beer house called Oast House. We spent our time drinking samplers and playing ping pong. It was so much fun for Mr. Lady Maid and I, AND...I even won!

St. Patrick's Day, #naillinkup

Happy St. Patrick's Day! We are just getting over a flu in our house still, but I really wanted to post something foe the festivities. I've been practicing my double stamping lately and was pretty happy with the results of this look. My yellowish green is called Daffy Dill by Nicole By OPI. I've considered getting rid of this one, but it finds its way into my art. The white is Finger paints Paper Mâché. The stamping was Konad Black and White. I pulled out my Bundle Monster Holiday collection for the clover and knot images and voila.

These aren't perfect because I was still shaky from lack of sleep, but I thought they were pretty festive and fun. For those of you heading out tonight, don't forget to arrange for a driver home and be safe!

#naillinkup Gold Nails

I missed posting this Gold look for #naillinkup the other day. Busy weekend followed by a flu ridden six year old. Not fun. Anyway, I'm very tired today from a yucky overnight for my sun but wanted to post. The coppery gold is Essie Penny Talk. I used it for the dotting and shadows look below the black stamping. The Black is Liquid Leather. I wore this a bit, because it was kind of striking in person. I loved the black nails.

Later guys. I'm heading to my couch for some couple time!

Indie Polish, 38

Here is 38 from Indie Polish linked here. This fun and fabulous glitter topper is a mix of multi-shape and size yellow, white and hot pink glitters. It's simply ridiculously cute on.

I'm really glad I did swatches on both a light and dark background for this one. It really transformed the polish.

Digital Dozen Nature Week, Watercolour Nail Art

This mani is a recreation from @_lastega on Instagram linked here. This watercolour fall tree design was literally the last I did before hacking down my nails as you may have seen. I managed to nurse the break through all of this weeks posts before the big trim, so I had more real estate to work with so to speak. The base is Paper Mâché from Finger Paints  the rest is very watered down acrylic paints.

I personally love the leaves on the branch nail. Love the watercolour finish of the leaves. Turned out almost as good as @lastega look. Make sure you check out her amazing work, as well as my Digi's linked below.

Digital Dozen Nature Week, Redo, Reboot, Recycle

So today is a double prompt with Digital Dozen Nature week and R is for Redo, Reboot, Recycle for A2Z and their archive page for anyone interested is linked here. I used Finger paints Paper Mache and a Sally Girl unnamed lime green. The cacti are all acrylic paint. The design is an old one linked here from Chalkboard Nails, hence the redo idea. The design is also dedicated to a follower @loveredcowboyboots on Instagram. She lives somewhere warm and sunny, so this is me in Canada envying her...and she's pretty fantastic too!

I loved these little guys. I've had this idea saved in my genius file for a long time, and it's day finally came.

Cheers all,
