OMD2, 1. Mint
Animal print is my 'jam' lately! I know I've been doing a lot of it...but I can't stop. It's girlsy, fun, summery...and I'm decent at it. SO perfect for post one of the OMD2 nail challenge happening in July! and this one is amazing girls!!! For more info follow this link. Here is a list of the challenge prompts we will be tackling.
So here it is MINT! I used Ciate Pepperminty as my mint shade and OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls for the base white. The black in this one is acrylic.
I just cut down one of my brushes again, and was thrilled at how the tiger in this design came out.
Cheers all,
Watermelon Nail Art Swap...sort of.
So as you can tell by the lenght thesse have been sitting in my draft folder for a while. I was supposed to maniswap these with someone on IG, but can no longer remember whose design this was and they haven't contacted me.
So, to the mystery nail artist...thanks for this simple and cute watermelon design!

Mickey Nail Art, Swap
This design was inspired by Teoqeg on Instagram. Her design was so cute I had to try this one myself. This is Alpine Snow in two coats topped by this amazing glass shard topper from Ruby White Tips called Gathering of the Clouds from the Hobbit Collection. Her Etsy store is linked here.
For Mickey and Minnie and their cute little kissing faces I tried out the decal method on a plastic bag and used acrylic paints. This worked out so well, I can't wait to try it again.
Hope you enjoyed this one! Just looking at the length on my nails makes me a little sad now.

First Successsful Water Marble
This is a fairly simple and perhaps not perfect water marble by others standards, but this is actually my first ever successful marble!!! I'm super excited. I can never get the polish to spread and have tried everything that I've read and piles of dfferent polishes. I decided to try again this time with my Barielle Swizzle Stix and OPI Stranger Tides and My Boyfriend Scales Walls, and as soon as that first drop hit the water I was in! This marble is over two coats of My Boyfriend Scales Walls.
I need to play around some more now for shapes and patterns, but probably with the same two polishes for a while since I'm scared to take a step back.

Ikat Matte Nail Art
For those of you that follow my Instagram you will already have seen the nasty break I got on two fingers at the grocery store, for those of you that don't...folllow me please! I love Instagram and how it's a two way conversation. Anyway, these are my nubbins and this is the last week for Eeek! By that I mean the last of the one week manicure prompts before the big July challenge begins. I will be joining in, but putting no pressure on myself to contribute daily. It's summer, and I'll be spending as much time as possible with the kiddies and Mr. LADYMAID.
Today's prompt was matte, and I love the final look! This is two coats of Takko Nirvana with topcoat and then matte topcoat. For the ikat design I used a base of white acrylic in a rough triangle, then added a rough yellow one inside. The magic happens when you add the black last with short strokes in the centre and around the edge.
Super easy if your brush is small, and still looks great on nubbins!

Above The Curve, Don't Blink with Floral
This is Don't Blink by Above The Curve. Another of the minis I won. This one I had been saving till I thought of something cute art wise to wear with it, because it was my fave. I'm really partial to grey tones. This is two coats which were also easy. This is a subtle silver/grey holo with darker gunmetal grey micro bits through out. The holo payoff was a weenie bit more subdued then some of the others, making it perfect for use as an art base. This round, I used it along with this black and white floral accent finger design you might recognize.
This shot below is in direct sunlight. You can see how pretty the fire in this one is even though it's subtle.
All in all this Dr. who collection from Above The Curve has been fantastic!

Pink Flying Cow Design Nail Art
Welcome to another edition of Freehand Fridays with Ashley aka BWLBlogger.
We cooked this one up because we are both big fans of Pinkflying cow on YouTube linked here. If you haven't checked out her channel you really should. Most of her stuff has this pop art comic feel. It's happy, fun and I love it. Ashley's IG page is linked here. Pinkflyingcow look had this fun ring finger gradient with the skull cherries. It's about the darn cutest thing I ever did see. I then did the stripey half moons and added a little glitter to hide any flaws. All in all adorable.
And here is both or looks together!
I really liked the above, but the half moons weren't my best stripes ever, so I removed them and went to work. I next did the shooting star finger which is another of Pinkflying cows designs from her channel. For the remaining two fingers I went dotting wild in a pop art style. I used a ton of colours for this look, but if you want any specifics just leave me a note in the comments.
I have to say, this is my fave design of the last little bit. How could it not be right! So happy and summery. I just love it.

Laquerlicious, Lady Liberty
From the untrieds, what?
Yup! I've had this a while and never used it. Well not true, I used it for this and then it sat in my drafts and I forgot. But not on purpose, lookie how pretty! This two easy coats of Lady Liberty. Let me tell you, this one's fantastic is every way! I just loved the look and the formula. For my accent I put two coats of a coppery gold that thinking back I'm pretty sure was a China Glaze. I then added the square stud.
Weird side story, the stud on the gold polish had some sort of reaction and actually stained my accent fingers on both hands in that square shape. I'm still growing this off.
So lovely. If you are a teal fan at all, I highly recommend this one. Something about the light teal and copper together is so polished looking.

Sunset Palm Tree Nail Art
I'm Starting with an apollogy, because this luscious shimmery red is a franken I made, and sorry not available anywhere. Muah haha! Anyway, this is two coats of my franken red with topcoat followed by the art. I took a coral shimmer a yellow cream and a touch of white cream and added small swipes of colour horizontally across the two nails till I liked the look. I allowed this to dry then used a black striper to create the tree and land. This was super easy and I took a quick look at a couple tutorials on YouTube to refresh my memory before I started.
Hope you enjoyed these summery lovelies! I even did matching toes.

Manicure Remix, Neon Floral
So I'm Calling this post Manicure Remix, and I think I've decided
this will be a recurring series. Whenever I have a post that's very
popular and I loved wearing, I will remix the look by using the same
colours and element's, but create a totally different look.
So
for my first remix I chose my Neon fun look....linked here and I reused my
colour palette. I took the floral and dot elements and put them together
on the nails and created a black and white version of the design as my
accent nail. After top coating my accent I also added the pearl as this
week's Eeek prompt is Pearl. I'm loving the look together and I think it
qualifies! If you want to join in the fun for the remaining week, you can find the info linked here.
Love this again, and hope you guys do as well. Also, don't forget to look at the other Pearl Manicures in the Inlinkz below.

Harry Potter Nail Decals From Green Goddess Creations
**sent for review
I was feeling some decals the other day, so I pulled out these Harry Potter Water Slide Decals from the Green Goddess Creations store linked here. These Harry Potter decals offer a number of images, but I chose the broom and snitch...and no I didn't have to look that up, I'm totally into the series. I then chose to add Harry and Ron together since they both played for Gryffindor. The link for this item in the shop is here. After I was done I dded the jelly glitter Iron Throne from Daring digits as a bit of a gradient to the tips.
I thought these were nerdtastic and I loved wearing them...even though I secretly think Ron looks like he has the pox instead of freckles!
Don't forget to check out all of Lelia's goodies over at the shop. She has sooo many new ones to choose from, and as always they are super easy to use.

Distressed Nail Art with Silver Accent
This one is for another Crumpet's Nail Tarts Prompt. This one is Silver Accent. I've been wanting to do another distressed mani for awhile, so here we go. I used one coat of Sally Hansen Berry Juicy for my base, but after that just a ton of other polish. This technique if you don't know is just wiped off bottle brushes dragged across your base colour till you like the look. So easy and pretty stunning.
Don't forget to check out the other girls silver accent looks below.

June Theme Week Challenge
There is a big nail art challenge coming in July called Oh Mon Dieu Part Deux (OMD2) and it starts July 1. I'm still on the fence as its another everyday challenge, but for now I'm diving into the weekly challenge that starts this week and goes through June. All the info if you want to take part is linked here on Eeeeknailpolish.
So here is my week one design. I've done a lot of animal print lately, so I stepped it up a bit and did this one over a gradient, and made the leopard print more subtle this round.
I also made you guys a tutorial as I went along in case you are interested in recreating this one.
Step 1: Apply base colour, I chose NYC Lexington Yellow. This is two coats.
Step 2: With a makeup wedge dab your gradient with one swipe of each coulor on the wedge per nail. I allowed each pass to dry and did two or three passes per finger to achieve this look. My purple was Rimmel I Lilac You
Step 3: Using acrylic white paint and a dotting tool add some small splodges.
Step 4: Using acrylic grey and the dotting tool add grey spodges around the white and fill in any blank areas with little bits of the grey.
Step 5: Clean up with qtip, cleanup brush and acetone. Topcoat twice.
Voila!
Below are some housekeeping shots I'd like to share...aka shots that didnt make it anywhere else, but were too good to trash! The first is stamping over Concerning Hobbits from the new Ruby White Tips Hobbit collection linked here.
This last was just Color Club Cloud Nine that I wore recently and the sun hit it just right. Had to grab a snap! Please check out the other Leopard Print works of art linked below.
