I'm pretty proud of this look for #31dc2016 Black and White. I created these beautiful watercolour flowers with a black Crayola marker borrowed from my kids and spread with rubbing alcohol and a nail art brush. Once dry, I used a fine sharpie to add the outlines. Once matte, VoilĂ ! My Boyfriend Scales Walls was my base.
This was so quick and cool, I'll be trying again with other colours and patterns.
Cheers all,
This is stunning! I love the watercolor artsy look. I am still working on my black and whites, as I am a day behind and still catching up. I will add my link later though. I love your mani so so much. I want this on my nails now. Beautifully done.
ReplyDeleteI'm planning a Halloween something with the markers now that the challenge is over!
DeleteWhat a cool effect! I never would have thought to use regular markers to do a watercolor look- how creative!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure, but it worked! I'm doing another soon.
DeleteMarker nails are great fun. I really like the organic feel this has, and how all the colours that go into a black marker sort of leeched out.
ReplyDeleteI found the colours coming out of the black fascinating. I didn't know if others would just think 'hey it's not black!'
