31 Day. Day 29, Inspired by the Supernatural

Inspired by the Supernatural today for #31dc2016. It's kinda a tradition for me to use these Zombie hands from Bundle Monster BM-H08 each year around Halloween. I used a base of Grey To Be Here from Essence and dabbled the tips withe grey acrylic paint. Once my Zombie hands were down, I added the skull, cat and the ghost using BM-H07, BM-H08 and BM-223.

I like this monotone look and how it came together once matte.

31 Day. Day 28, Inspired by a Flag

I didnt want to attempt to recreate a country flag as I've done in the past for #31dc2016 Flag prompt, so I searched around on the Internet till I found some home decor that was cool and flag related. I was inspired by this children's room linked here.
I used Greige Gardens from Sally Hansen on the tips and a base of Sally Hansen Choco-Latte. I stamped my stripes with Espresso from Revlon and the image from Moyou Holy Shapes 02.

I loved this one and wore it long enough to put me behind in the challenge! All caught up now though.

31 Day. Day 27, Inspired by Artwork

I decided to go with my favourite type of art fort the Artwork prompt for #31dc2016. I wasn't going to do nail art, but became inspired by Starrynail and Glitterfingersss on Instagram when both posted gorgeous fall manis at the same time a couple days ago. For mine I stamped the falling leaves words from BM-S207 and then began my doodles, acorns and leaves in acrylic paint. My base is China Glaze mind the gap.

I like my fun abstract fall look. The idea for the doodles actually came from a craft on Pinterest where you doodle designs in white paint on a wreath made of leaves.

31 Day. Day 26, Inspired by a Pattern

Today's look is inspired by a pattern. I've been wanting to do a plaid look for a while, so I went for it with this dotting and plaid look. I used Barielle Swizzle Stix as my turquoise/blue base and my distressed fingers are Sunny Days from Rimmel and the Barielle. My stamping is Essie Penny Talk and the images are both BP-L013. I actually attempted to double stamp the plaid in the yellow, but it hardly showed.

Below is the first take on this mani, but I kind of hated and redid the dotting fingers to the plaid. They weren't as crisp or as cute as my final look.

Getting close to the end of the challenge, hope everyone's struggling to keep up like me...lol!

Cheers all,

31 Day, Day 25, Inspired by Fashion

I didn't know what I was going to do for fashion, as there is so much inspiration out there. I decided to look at men's fashion and found this line of wild neon camouflage looks from DSquared linked here. I used China Glaze Celtic Sun as my neon base and neon acrylic paint for the rest. On my black and white base fingers I used one coat of Snow-flakes shimmer polish from Color Club and then decided to throw in the black doodle image at the last minute from BP-L013.

I matted the whole thing and loved how quirky it turned out, while it still managed to keep a masculine/feminine feel.

Cheers all,

31 Day. Day 23, Inspired by a Movie

I just saw The Princess Bride listed on Shomi, and now I can't wait to watch it. That was my inspiration for this look, since it's been years since I've seen it.

My polishes:
Rimmel Sunny Days
Barielle Swizzle Stix
OPI Shop Til Sunset

My romantic couple and princess are from the plate BP-72 I was sent for review by Born Pretty Store and the lips and XOXO are from BP-L012

I really like the sunset and shadow effect and might come back to this effect soon!

As I said, this plate is from  Born Pretty Store linked here. If you check it out, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!

31 Day. Day 22, Inspired by a Song

Today the prompt is Song. The song I chose is Sucker For Pain by Imagine Dragons, Lil Wayne, and a bunch of other artists linked here. It's from the Suicide Squad soundtrack and I can't stop listening to it. I've been listening to the soundtrack since I first saw the preview. I used Klean Color Concrete Gray and
images from BM-425, BM-323 and BM-301. I was going for a sort of toxic love motif here with the barbed wire and roses. The kiss me was a last minute add, but it totally made it for me!

Hope you love my toxic love!

31 Day, Day 21, Inspired by a Colour

Today is inspired by a colour, and I've decided to be inspired by one of my favourite polishes. Finger Paints Don't Make a Scene. I know it's just s nude, but it's the perfect nude for my skin tone and I'm constantly using it for art. I stamped the chevrons with Essie Penny Talk using BP-L013and the rose is from BP-73. I filled the stamp with white before reverse application and then top coat.

Simple, but pretty.

I wore this look for a job interview, so hopefully it was lucky!

31 Day. Day 20, Water Marble

I'm going to come right out and say it, I can't marble at all and I'm phoning this one in! I thought for a while on how I could get around the term 'water marble'.

This look is what I came up with.
I used Sally Hansen White Out as base, and the swirled my two blues on the sponge to create a marbled gradient. I wish I had added some erratic lines to make this more like a marble look.

I double stamped water drops on my gradient to represent water, and there you have it! Water...and Marble...sort of.

I hope you like my cheat as it was that or skip the prompt all together!

Cheers all,

31 Day. Day 19, Galaxies

I've always wanted to attempt a neon or pastel galaxy, so #31dc2016 Galaxy day was the perfect opportunity.

I used Sally Hansen White Out as base and neon acrylics for the background. I then added Femme Fatale Mirror Mirror on the Wall for some twinkle and added my planets and constellations!

Anyone see the dipper in there?

Cheers all,

31 Day. Day 18, Half Moon

Today I did a reverse half moon for #31dc2016. I stamped the scroll image from BP-X01 in black on my base and used my mat to create the stamped half moons for my tips. Once applied, it still needed something so I added the dotting as a break point for the two designs. The decal image was also created with BP-X01.

I liked this one, and the half moon tips was a fun take on the classic.

31 Day. Day 17, Glitter

Not my favourite look of the challenge so far. I was going to redo it if I had the time, but ran short. A simple dotted look over a glitter tip. The glitter is Glisten Here from Finger Paints and the purple base an unknown Color Club. The dots are acrylic paint in a white and turquoise.

That's all for now. Hope your fingers are all a-glitter today!

Cheers all,

31 Day. Day 16, Geometric.

Today is #31dc2016 Geometric day and the final day of Digital Dozen does '4'. I was going for a spiral look with this one, with these rectangular spiral patterns. I created a simple distress with black on hot pink and then tried to flow the spiral pattern from nail to nail so each would be different to make for '4' different nails! The stamping didn't at all flow from each as I'd hoped, but I still loved the final!

Have a good weekend everyone!

Cheers all,

31 Day. Day 15, Delicate

The theme for today's #31dc2016 is delicate, and I thought of these China Doll images. This one also hits today's Digital Dozen does '4' with four polishes used. I used Julep Toni and Orly Frosting for my base. I then used Go Crazy Red from China Glaze and Liquid Leather for the distressing. I created my little ladies on the stamper and reverse stamped them. I used images from BM-617 for the ladies and the floral.

Hope everyone is enjoying the #31dc2016 as much as I am.

Cheers all,

31 Day. Day 14, Flowers. Digital Dozen 4!

Good day! Another dual post with #31dc2016 being Flower day and I used four techniques to hit the '4' prompt for Digital Dozen 4th anniversary week!

I used Julep Toni and Mousseline from Sally Hansen as base colours and then stamped my floral from BP-X03. I then dotted using China Glaze Go Crazy Red and filled in the lace image also from BP-X03 and reverse stamped that as a band across the middle of two fingers. I then mattified! I received this plate for review, and as with the others it was great!

This was a neat look, kind of old fashioned, or maybe Victorian.

As I said, this plate is from  Born Pretty Store linked here. If you check it out, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!

31 Day. Day 13, Animal Print. Digital Dozen 4!

Today is animal print for #31dc2016 as well as day two of Digital Dozen 4 week. I went with techniques again for my 4 cue. I chose dotting, stamping, gradients and animal prints itself as my 4! I used Essie Full Steam Ahead and Don't Rock the Boat for my base. I used Nicole By OPI Khloe Had a Lamb Lamb for everything else!

I loved this, and could wear it a loooong time. I did just realize, that the bottle I'm using in the photo is not actually the purple I used in the mani! Ha!

Cheers all,

Graveyard

This look was inspired by the Graveyard prompt for #clairestelle8 Halloween Challenge. I did these as Bestie Twinsie's with my good friend Elena from over at Nail Experiments linked here, and here.
For my base I used Picture Polish Imperial and the rest was created in acrylic paints. The image is all freehand, but I did start my Haunted House with a stamp image from Bundle Monster BM-305 and then added details to it in black and orange

This look was a lot of fun to create, and I always love holiday nails!

Cheers all,

31 Day. Day 12, Stripes. Digital Dozen 4!

I loved this soft pastel blues and purples look I created for #31dc2016 Stripes day. I used Essie Full Steam Ahead and Don't Rock the Boat as base. I then used this unknown purple for the dotting and gradient. I used Nabi Sky for my stripe stamping.

On a very special note, this look also hits all the right cues for this weeks Digital Dozen does 4 week! Why 4? It's the Digital Dozens 4th anniversary this year. Today's 'four,' was four techniques. I used dotting, gradients, stamping and glitter placement!!

The stamping over glitter was a bit wonkie, but otherwise I loved this! Congratulations to all my fellow members on the monumentus anniversary!

Cheers all,

31 Day. Day 11, Polka Dots. Lady Queen Water Decal

I created this look with these adorable water decals from the Lady Queen site linked here. My coupon code is ELLC15 for these or anything else from the site. I totally enjoyed these, and they were the easiest decals I've used in a long time. I used strawberries on one hand and cherries on the other. The dots are just acrlylic paint on my neon base.

I loved this look so much and you really should check the decals out from Lady Queen Beauty linked here.

Cheers all,

31 Day. Day 10, Gradient

This look was sort of collecting dust in my unposted bin for about a year, but is great for #31dc2016 Gradient day. I used an image from Hehe-046 and created the stamping gradient with blue and white! My base is Sally Hansen Mousseline, and as an FYI this was the longest my nails have ever been!

Hope you had a great weekend!

Cheers all,

31 Day. Day 9, Rainbow

This is my second attempt at the Crayola Marker and alcohol watercolour effect for #31dc2016. I used all the colours in the rainbow which separated to drops on the nail and didn't look like they would work like the black did, but spread fine with the rubbing alcohol and art brush. I would caution it took a couple layers, but was still quick. I dotted the black with sharpie and mattified.

The base is OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. Hope you enjoy these marker looks. I enjoy playing around with them.

Cheers all,

31 Day. Day 8, Metallic. Born Pretty Store, BP-X05

You'll recall I recently swatch Boudoir from Cirque and loved it's fantastic holo flash. I absolutely couldn't take it off, so I created this wild tribal look with plate BP-X05 that I was sent for review linked here. This plate stamps amazingly crisp and is full of various tribal designs. I plan to use this plate till it turns to dust! for this look I layered and distressed my tribal images and matted the final look.

I'm not sure what you would call it, but it's exactly the look I was going for! Once again, the plate is from  Born Pretty Store linked here. If you do check it out, use this 10% off discount code UNGX31 they are offering my readers!
